Guest guest
SrI: SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah: Dearest Srivaishnavas, There have been tremendous encouragement for aDiyEn’s rambling. The credit goes to the divinely beautiful commentary of Srimath Mukkur azhagiya Singar’s and the great pAsuram of ThiruppAvai. Today’s verse: PuLLum silambina kaaN.. Sri Krishna’s great bhakthai (devotee) is woken up. She is sleeping. Girls: (including AndAL): The time has come for us to go to Yamuna. Still you are sleeping. Get up and come out. Friend: Who said it has dawned? G: The antharyami roopan(in dweller) in our heart yold us. He helps us as He knew that we talked yeaterday about going to Yamnuna and then perform Krishna ArAdhanam. He aids jeevathma’s actions. Who is He? He is the bird (puL in Tamil). puLLum silambina.. In Vedas, it is told that he is the bird. SarIra is a tree. Two birds live there. One of the birds having the tree as its abode is the jeevatma. The jeevatma is bound in an interminable cycle of births and deaths, and passes through each life enjoying the fruits of its good deeds (puNya) and suffering from the bad ones (papa). The other bird in the tree, the non-eating spectator, is the Paramatma. The Lord, in His infinite mercy, resides along with the jeevatma (as his inner dweller) in the perishable body, filled with blood, bones and refuse. However, He does not partake of the pleasures, and remains untouched and untainted by Karma. That bird (Lord) told us. What did that say? Is it right to sleep like this? Is it laziness? Even if you do not perform dhanurmAsa Aradhana, it is paapam to sleep during the dawn time (How many of us do this papam?:-) ) – It reminded us of. So, we hurried to wake you up. Why is that bird so concerned about us? Because He lives all the time with us to save us- to carry out what the thought of Jiva is- and if it is good, He happily executes them and provides all help to get it done by us. smruthO yacchathi sOpanam. It must be in your dream- He work you up. So what? Dream- is True in our Siddhanatham. Come get up. Also, He is the One who rushed on GarudA (another Bird) to save Gajendra- grAhagrasthE… one feather of this Bird (PerumAL): Blemishless- akhilahEya prathyaneekan-; another is AnanthakalyANa guNa paripoorNan. Okay. Did you at least not hear the Conch shell’s divine sound from the temple? This is built By Nandha gOpan. Small Boys happily recite Vedas there. Can’t you hear? It is not some Devaanthara temple. It is the PuLLariayan temple. (Garuda vaahanan’s temple) Also, the scholars, Sages, and elders got up and loudly Utter “Hari: Hari:.. in the wee hours. [One should utter loudly Hari: Hari: seven tiems when waking up in the morning and prays to Him for making us perform Kaimkaryam - Nithya, naimittika karma, AgnyA, anugnyA karmA with no hurdles- and with Saathvika thyaagam- Sriman Narayanan Preethyarttham] Which avatar they are talking and contemplating – Go and ask them. [Till then, let me sleep?] They meditate and think of Hari- KrishNan- who sucked the breasts of Pey (Poothana), kicked the wheel asura;- He is Parama Purushan. Then, why are you saying the One who reclines on Snake in the waters.. (veLLattharavil thuyil amarndha vitthinai) It is also Sri Krishnan, Dear friend.. He is the One who jumped into the pond where the huge KaaLingan was ruling and the whole pond was poisonous. The moment he stepped on it, the snake with its huge body engulfed the small ThirumEni of KaNNan and He was unconscious (pretended) with the poisonous air exhaled from the snake’s 1000 heads. Thus, He was reclining on the snake in the pond. He is Sri Krishnan. [incidentally, He is the Only One- Ksheeraabdhi Nathan as well] Also, he is the SEED. Cause and Creator of everything and everyone. Also, anganaam angaanam antharE MaddhavO- Maadhavam Maadhavam antharE cha anganaa. Between every two Gopikas, there was Krishna- Between every two Krishna, there was Gopika. – playing Raasa leela in circle. Thus, This Sri Krishnan is the SEED of all those Sri Krishnans [with whom we will play] No He is already there in our dream. Why should I open my eyes? Oh dear. The dream will disappear when you wake up. Now here is reality. Real KrishNan. Come and let us go. Hurry. Let us pefrom ThiruArAdhanam for KrishNan and get the anuroopa phalam. The friend realizes and gets up- pays her praNamams, seeks forgiveness from the Bhagawathas for keeping them waiting. What a great anubhavam by Srimath Azhagiya Singar! If there is any merit, the credit goes to the great commentary by Srimath Azhagiya Singar. Any errors / mistakes are due to my lack of understanding.
