Guest guest
Dear Devotees Recently we had teh good fortune of visiting Sathya Kaalam where our Acharya Swami Desikan had spent over a decade . It was a desire that was fulfilled thanks to Shri Selvanarayanan , a great devotee of the Acharya based in Mysore. The temple which has been reclaimed and renovated by the tireless efforts of Shri Selvanarayanan, is a temple that every Vaishanvaite should visit even if it means some effort as it does not lie on the beaten track. The presiding deity is Lord Varadarajan and there are sannadhis for Lakshmi Narasimhan, Udiyavar, Kaari Maran and Aanjeneya. there are also Thaayaar and aandaal sannadhi. The temple is very close to the banks of cauvery where Swami Desikan used meditate under a peepul tree. The Koorma peetam was under the tree which has been shifted to the temple for safe keeping. Please read teh story of teh koorma Peetum from web link given below Adeyen with my family spent a whole evening in the picturesque surroundings which is a like a picture post card. I shall be grateful if the devotees of Swami Desikan include this temple in their itinerary and give a helping hand to the efforts of Shri Selvanarayan in the construction of Gopuram which is estimated to cost Rs 18 lacs.
