SRI LAKSHMI NRISIMHA KAINKARYA SABHA,KOPARKHAIRNE, NAVI MUMBAI:ANNUAL UTSAVAM

SLNSK SABHA,Navi Mumbai held their fourth annual mahotsavam from 16 Oct

to 29 Oct 2007.This utsavam was held to celebrate the varshika thiru

nakshtra utsavam of Sri Swamy Nigamantha Maha Desikan and Sri Athivan

Sathagopa Yatindra Maha Desikan.It is practice of this Sabha to slightly

defer the dates so that devotees can first visit important Swami Desikan

Thirusthalams on the actual day.In Mumbai also grand celebrations take

place at Sri Desika Sabha,Matunga and Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple, Chembur

and sabha members partake in these utsavams. Seva kalam,Veda parayanam

etc were held on all days and also Upanyasam by Sri. U.Ve.Mannargudi

Rajagopalachariar,Asthana Vidwan Sri Ahobila Mutt.Thirumanjanam was held

on 27 Oct 2007 and Swami Desikan Mangalasasanam,Peria Satrumrai and

Pushpa Yaagam took place on 28 Oct 2007.The Sabha is well known among

the followers of our sampradayam more so Srimadam shisyas.Srimad

Azaghiyasingar always stays in the sabha during his sancharam and

praises the efforts putin by the Srimadam followers of this place.They

may be of recent origen to fullfil the vaccum of no outfit of Srimadam

in this area ,but have known their presence felt since the utsavams are

conducted in a grand manner as in any big sthalams. The also donated a

Pallakku for the fourthcoming Bramhotsavam of Sri Balaji Temple of Sri

Ahobila Mutt ,Pune as part of this year's utsavam and also contributed

to Srimadam Thiruvallur Kshetram Veeraraghavaswamy Temple Rs.65000,as

contrbution for one day ubhayam for varshika bramhotsavam.Photos taken
