Guest guest
SrI: Dear Srivaishnavas, On Monday we celebrated Andal tirunakshatram and 26th pattam jeeyar's tirunakshatram. On Friday, let's celebrate the tirunakshatram of 25th pattam SrI Srinivasa yatindra mahadesikan, tiruttamappanAr of 26th pattam jeeyar in pUrvASramam. (AshADa - Swathi). The brief vaibhavam of this jeeyar as taken from ahobilamutt's website: * He is considered as Vainateya amSAvatAram. * Due to jealousy, a few people tried to poison Srimadazhagiyasingar. By chanting Sri Nrisimhanushtup Mantram, Srimadazhagiyasingar rendered the poison harmless. * Defeated Surapuram Swami in debate and accepted him as sishya. (this debate lasted for more than 15 days and was similar to other such debates of bhashyakara and bhattar. SrI malolan came in the dream of HH and gave the page-number of SrutaprakASikai as the samAdAnam for the last day's debate) * King of Gadval SrI Somabupalan and King Saraboji became sishyas. * The village given in dAnam by Saraboji raja was transformed by HH into SrInrusimhapuram agraharam. * Texts authored by him include, Sachcharidha Rathnavali, Sri Nrusimha Stavam, and Sri Nrusimha Mangalam. Similar to mukkur azhagiyasingar, 25th pattam azhagiyasingar was in AsthAnam for more than 35 years. His taniyan (strikingly simliar to 26th pattam jeeyar's taniyan) : SrIvAsavIraraghuvIryaparAnkuSAdi rAmAnujAryamunibhir guruSArvabhowmai: | samprEkshitham karuNayA paripoorNabOdham SrISrInivAsayatiSEkaram ASrayAma: dAsan
