You are right that PrapannAs will not seek any Kamaya Kaarya Siddhi thru the recitation of the 28 StOtrams of Swamy Desikan .There are however many who are not PrapannAs who suffer from SamsAra klEsams and want to seek help thru recitation of such slOkams .

Anticipating their needs , Swamy Desikan has placed BheejAksharams and Mantram parts

( interspersed) in some of these stOtrams to gain Mantra siddhi without complex nishtais and niyamams .

 

Swamy Desikan's stOtrams besides their anugraha siddhis are testaments to His genius as the Kavi Simham ( Lion among poets ) for His choice of words and rare meters .There are Specific slOkams in the Ranganatha PaadhukA Sahasram that are recomended by

AcharyAs to overcome some of the worries of SamsAris .
