Dear SrIvaishnavas,

Tomorrow is the tiruvavatara tirunAL of 28th pattam jeeyar of ahobilamaTam.

27th pattam HH ordered the king of gadwal samsthanam to appoint a

gyAna-anushTAna-vairAgyaSAli scholar as the next pontiff.

Almost 2 years have passed without a jeeyar in place.

The king called for a vidwat sadas and requested for vAkhyArtham from scholars.

Thirukkurungudi SrI VAnamAmalAchAr won the assembly of scholars. He was

requested by theking to be the next pontiff, which SrI vAnamAmalAchAr accepted.

In pUrvASramam both he and his tirutthambi could quote from any part of the

granthams like SrIbhAshyam, SrutaprakASikai, EeDu-36000 padi etc, without

glancing at the granthams.

With the tureeyASrama tirunAmam of 'Sriranganatha Satakopa yatIndra

mahadesikan', HH was suprasiddhar (very famous) like SrIRamanuja, Adivan

satakopa, shashtaparankusa jeeyar et al.

33rd and 34th pattam azhagiyasingars in pUrvASramam were serving this

azhagiyasingar with great dedication.
