As reported earlier, we celebrated our Acharya Thirunakshathrams, including

the Thirunakshathrams of Sri Ramanujar, Swami Sri Vedanta Desikar, all

Azhagiyasingars from Srimath Adivan Satakopan, to the current Azhagiyasingar,

Sri

Lakshmi Nrusimha Dhivya Paduka Sevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri Narayana Yateendra

Mahadesikan, the 45th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam at the Sri Ranganatha Temple

, Pomona, NY on September 3rd and 4th. Sri Ahobila Matam has been

celebrating all our Acharyas' Vaibhavam every year since 2001 during the Labor

Day

weekend. This year Sri Ahobila Matam celebrated the function at Sri

Ranganatha

temple and nearly 200 people attended the 2 day function with Mutt sishyas

and others visiting from states near and far including the states of of

Washington, California, Texas, Missouri and Illinois. Photos of the 2 day

One of the highlights of the program was a recorded speech given by Oragadam

Sri. Lakshminarasimhachar of our Selaiyur patasalai about Sri Ahobila Matam

Acharyas and our Acharyas' Vaibhavam. We will upload the 25 minute audio to

Sri Ahobila Mutt website for your listening pleasure. One of the major events

that he talked about that will take place next year is the 80th

Thirunakshathram of prakrutam Srimath Azhagiyasingar to be celebrated in late

November/early December in 2006 at Selaiyur in Chennai. As you know, Sri Matam

will be

incurring a lot of expenses for this function with a record number of invited

veda/prabhanda goshti in attendance. We hope many of you are able to attend

the function.

Sri Ahobila Matam USA generally organizes only two fund raising drives in a

year, one for Srimath Azhagiyasingar's Chathurmasya Sankalpam and the other

for His Holiness' Thirunakshathram celebration. We will start our

fundraising efforts for the 80th Thirunakshathram function starting in January

2006.

In the meantime, we have to kick off the fund raising drive for the 79th

Thirunakshathram of prakrutam Azhagiyasingar which will be celebrated in

Bangalore on December 10th. Once again, we hope many of you can and will attend

the

function. Please send in your contributions or pledges to us as soon as you

The Bangalore Thirunakshathram organizers have offered to reserve efficiency

apartments close to the Matam for out of town visitors, which will be a lot

more reasonable in price compared to the hotels in Bangalore. If you are
