Sri Ahobila Matam USA is pleased to announce the next Upanyaasam of Srimad

Azhagiyasingar on Thirunedundhandakam on New Year's Day. After the hectic

sanchaaram and thirunakshatram celebrations, Srimad Azhagiyasingar is back at

Selayur and is very eagar to continue the upanyaasam. It is our bhagyam to

listen to Srimad Azhagiyasingar on New Year's Day and receive his blessings.

1. 2005 Calendar

 

Sri Ahobila Matam, USA has specially prepared calendar for U.S.A Eastern

timezone and is filled with pictures of Sri Ahobila Matam Acharyas this year.

2. Koodaraivalli 1000 Tada Festival

 

Similar to last year, for Koodaraivellum, Sri Ahobila Matam will be offering

Akaravadisil in 1000 silver cups to Sri Malolan. Devotees who sponsor will

receive prasadam and the silver cup.

 

Devotees interested in recieving the engraved Silver cup and PrasAdam offered to

MalOlan should send $40

made out to Sri Ahobila Muth at the following address:

The Silver cup can be recieved in person at SrI Matam , SelayUr or a by a

relative of the sponsor can pick it up . This silver cup can be used as a

NithyArAdhana paathram. Please note that the prasadam cannot be shipped to an

address. Someone must be present at the function (at Selayur, Chennai) to

receive the prasadam on Koodaravalli day. Please respond on or before January

4th.

 

3. Tsunami Disaster

 

By this time you are painfully aware of the devastation caused in India and

other parts of South Asia by the earthquake and Tsunamis in Indian Ocean Region

The death toll, human suffering and damage to property are still being fully

assessed. Currently available reports put the death toll in India at nearly

10000. However, given the fact that over 4000 people are reported missing in the

Andaman and Nicobar Islands and another 1000 in Andhra Pradesh, the toll could

climb significantly. Tamil Nadu, with nearly 3,900 reported dead, has suffered

the most. In this time of great need we should do all we can

to support financially the relief and reconstruction efforts that are going on

and will go on for some time to come.

 

Hence, we have decided to solicit tax deductible contributions from Mutt

shishyas and abhimanis and contribute the total amount on behalf of Srimad

Azhagiyasingar to the right organization in India.

 

Sishyas who are considering contributing to the Tsunami Fund in India can send

the donations to Sri Ahobila Matam USA and the consolidated amount from Sri

Ahobila Matam, India will be presented by Srimad Azhagiyasingar to one of the

Disaster Funds. Please send your pledges in favor of " Sri Ahobila Muth, Inc " to
