There is a carefully planned Vaidhika celebrations for this 25th

anniversary of one of the greatest Sri VaishNavite AchAryAs ,

HH Srimath ( ParavAkottai ) Poundarikapuram Andavan , who

continues to bless us with insights into the ancient paths of

Rishis , AchAryAs and Dhivya Dampathis for our upliftment .

His AchAram , anushtAanam and Vidvath are legendary .

 

On this illustrious occasion , the SishyAs and abhimAnis will

assemble at Srirangam to prostrate before HH Srimath Andavan

in a spirit of utter gratefulness for the MahOpakArams that he has

blessed them with . The repeated reminder of HH to us to perform

ThrikAla

SandhyAvandhanam always and releasing DVDs on Yajur and Saama

SandhyAvandhanam CDs is a great help to AasthikAs .

 

HH Srimath Andavan has been instrumental in examining many

fundamental Sri Kosams of our darsanam and having them released

as Aasramam publications . We are forever grateful to HH for these

releases over the last two decades and half . Had it not been for

these

MahOpakArams , many of us would be in the dark about the majestic

and compassionate messages of our srEshta AchAryaas . The scholarly

and sampradhAyic releases originating from Srimath Andavan Aasramam

in a steady stream include Swamy Desikan's Srimath Rahasya Thraya

Saaram ,

ChillaRai RahasyangaL , Desika Prabhandham , SthOthrams with

scholarly

commentaries , Desika Sahasra Naamam and more .

 

AdiyEn has been immensely blessed by Srimath Andavan's directives

and have benefitted many a time by His sage counsel on new

Kaimakryams .

His active interest in the recently completed Sundara Simham Sri

Sookthi

project has been a great source of inspiration for all the team

members .

 

As a native of ThiruviNNagar with ancient roots in PoundarIkapuram

village as well as the bhAgyam of friendship with multiple

generations of

Vangipuram Navaneetham Swamy Family at Oppiliappan Sannidhi ,

adiyEn has a special place in my heart for Poundarikapuram Andavan

Aasramam in general and Prakrutham Andavan in particular.

Silver Jubilee Celebration of Acharya's

ascent to the Peetam

Dearest all,

 

asmadhAchAryan His Holiness Srimad PaRavaakkOttai

Andavan Sri Gopaladesika Mahadesikan Swami is

completing his 25th year of SanyAsa Ashramam this Feb

14th 2007. This divinely glorious function is being

celebrated at Srirangam at the Ashramam.

 

Maasi pooraadam Dwadasi day in the year 1982 we were

blessed to have Our Swami ascending the Peetam of

Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan Ashramam. He has been

our guiding Pole Star in respect of Saasthric

behaviour, religious conduct, Scriptural learning, and

Vedic observances. He has encouraged the propagation

of Vedas through SaasthrAs, Sampradaya, and literary

publications and has been duly honouring the vedantic

scholars deserving recognition.

 

We the numerous sishyas and abhimaanis deem it a

greatest privilege to celebrate this Glorious day of

25 years completion on this day that culminates as a

Silver Jubilee day on the 14th Feb 2007- with

festivities like Veda PaarayaNam, Honouring of

VidwAns, religious discourses, and release of

invaulable publicatis, etc...

 

As Swami Desika says, we can not pay pack for what

Acharya has done to us- in fact, even the Lord can not

pay back for acharya has done to us... Let us just pay

our obeisance, praise his kalyANa guNAs, utter his

name and adhere to His teaching to the best extent

possible.

 

One for sure- is Trikala sandhyAvandhanam- If we need

to show our gratitude to Swami, it is mere performance

of daily thrikala sandhyAvandhanam without fail.

 

I am attaching under files section- the Invitation...

which is a feast to the eyes. I received the

invitation yesterday from our Sri Muralidhar

Rangaswamy Swami and Sri Anbil Ramaswamy Swami who are

the erudite sishyas of the Ashramam.

We owe it to ourselves; we owe it to the Great hoary

traditional lineage of the Acharyas, in whose line our

present Acharya has come, strictly adhered to it, and

illuminated it to be the light house to all of us, the

ordinary souls, needing enlightenment.

 

One can only drop tears of joy and anubhavam immersing oneself in

Swami's divinity, glorious kalyANa guNAs, ansuhtAnam,

jnAna, bhakti, vairAgyam and above all His tremendous

compassion, vaasthsalyam and dhayALu guNA on even on

incorrigble erring sishyas like adiyEn...

 

One can imagine His dayA, if He showers His dayA even

on adiyEn... rest assured you are saved as well.

 

adiyEn would like to conclude with VaikuNtavaasi, Sri

Seva Swamy's sthothra on His Holiness:

 

He is firmly rooted in Satsampradaaya (Sat sampradaaya

Siddhah)

His intellect is firm as the pole star (Sthirathara

Dhishnah)

He is well-versed in Sastras having heard from his

Aachaaryas (Srotriyo)

His mind is constantly fixed on Bhagavaan (Brahma

Nishtah)

His personality is pure Satvaguna( Sattvastha)

He is always truthful ( Satya Vaakhyo)

His conduct is immaculate (Subha Charitha Yuthah)

His occupation is spreading the holy Siddhanta (Saadhu

Siddhaanta Vrittih)

He is devoid of ego and jealousy etc. ( Damba

Asooyaadhi

Muktho)

He has conquered the senses ( Jita Vishaya Gano)

He is like a long standing friend and relative (

Dheergha Bandhu)

He is compassionate ( Dayaalu)

He is concerned about the spiritual welfare of himself

and others (SvaPara Hitha Paro)

He is Gopaala, the King of Yathis who shines

brilliantly on the firmament (Gopalaarya Yatheesah

Desiko Braajathe Naha)
