Guest guest
Dear BhakthAs : A dear and knowledgable friend has pointed out two changes that are needed in my posting with reference to Kalpam . I am thankful to him for alerting me on the needed corrections . Please make note of these two points relating to the time duration of Brahma Kalpam . V.Sadagopan ********************************************************************************\ ********************** Kalpa is actually 12 hours of the 4-faced-Brahma and NOT a day ( 24 hours ) of Brahma: Reference is Bhagavad-Gita Chapter -9 Verse-7 : " ..... kalpa-kshaye punastani, kalpAdau visrujAmyaham " The above verse says: All Jeevatmas are in suspespended state ( without a pAncha-bhautika deha) at the end of the day of Brahma for one Kalpa and are released by HIM , Lord Sriman Narayana, at the begining f the Kalpa- during the 12 hours of day of Brahma: Also Kalpa is NOT 420 Million years, but 4, 320 Million Years of human beings: Reference is Srimad Bhagavatam: Krita Yuga Pramanam is 1, 728, 000 years Treta Yuga Pramanam is 1, 296, 000 years. DwApara Yuga PramAnam is 864, 000 years. Kali yuga pramAnam is 432,000 years. The sum of all these 4 yugas is one maha-yuga, = 4, 320, 000 years = 4.32 Million years. Again Bhagavad-Gita says that 1000 such Maha-Yugas is equal to 12 hours of Brahma: 12 hours of Brahma = 4, 320, 000,000 years= 4320 Million years. 12 hours of night of Brahma is equally good 4320 Million Years. So, 1 day of Brahma is equal to 8640 Million Years = 8.64 BILLION years. ********************************************************************************\ *****************************
