Guest guest
Sri: Dear Bhakthas, adiYen happens to read a news item in ' The Hindu' in Chennai edition regarding a Sanskrit course through distance education conducted by Bharathidasan university , Tiruchirapalli. The nodal centre for the administration of the course would be Raja's college, Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur Dt. The duration of the course would be one year. A diploma in Sanskrit will be awarded at the successful completion of the course. The course coordinator Prof.Dr. T.N Aravamudhachar, Head of Dept. Sanskrit, Raja's college, is a renowned vidwAn in our sampradhayam who has also a credit of making many research scholars in our srivaishnava school of thoughts through his noble service and kainkaryam to our sampraDhayam. The institution offering this course, 'Raja's College', Thiruvaiyaru has 125 years old history as a traditional centre for learning Arts & culture. Many Acharyas and vidwAns from our sampradhayam have studied and worked in this institution and it would be our Bhagyam to associate with this institution. A new block has been opened recently for the Sanskrit department dedicated to HH Srimath Thirukudanthai Andavan. This block, a two story building has a seminar hall, library, computer centre, classrooms for the students. As this institution located on the banks of river Cauvery with serene background, this provides a right ambience to nurture good thoughts on younger minds at the right age. In my humble opinion every srivaishnavaite should have a basic knowledge in our traditional language `Sanskrit '.This provides a right window to understand many of our Acharyas' Srisukthis. This also helps to bring out new commentaries and expose to this modern world that our acharyas were great visionaries in power of discerning future conditions, sagacity in planning with foresight. While our children have opportunities to study at school, those who missed the bus can now use this opportunity to catch on. The interested members may pl. approach the following address for getting the application form. The minimum qualification for this course is only X std. passed. There is no upper age limit. Contact Address: Dr.T.N.Aravamudhan, Professor, Research and Postgraduate dept. Department of Sanskrit, Rajah's College. Thiruvaiyaru. Tamilnadu. Pin: 613 204. With due regards, Adiyen Dasan, Venugopalan.
