Dear All:

 

The 15th Chathurmasya Sankalpa Mahotsavam will be held this year on Tuesday July

11th at Pullambhudhangudi, Tamil Nadu. Invitations have been mailed out from

India. We will post the invitation on the Ahobila Mutt website over the next

couple of days. We welcome everyone to attend the function if you are in India

at that time.

 

Many of you have already contributed for one or more days of Thadhiarathanai.

All 60 days of the Chathurmasya Sankalpam have been sponsored. If you were not

able to join in that kainkaryam, there is still time to send in your

contribution for the above event as Padha Kanikkai. Any amount, small or large,

is welcome. All contributors will be sent Phala ManthrAkshathais from Srimad

Azhagiyasingar after the Chathurmasya Sankalpa function.

 

Sri Ahobila Matam USA generally organizes only two fund raising drives in a

year, one for Srimath Azhagiyasingar's Chathurmasya Sankalpam and the other for

His Holiness' Thirunakshathram celebration. The 80th Thirunakshathram of

prakrutam Srimath Azhagiyasingar will be celebrated on November 30th , 2006 at

Srirangam, India. This being the 80th Thirunakshathram, it is a very special

event. We hope that all of you can attend the function and get the blessings of

His Holiness Srimad Azhagiyasingar on this very auspicious day. We will

communicate further details about the 10 day program when they are finalized

later in the year.

 

As you know, Sri Matam will be incurring a lot of expenses for this function

with a record number of invited veda/prabhanda goshti in attendance. This being

the 80th Thirunakshathram function, we have increased our fund raising goal to

Rs. 1 crore (Approximately $200,000) from overseas sishyas. We will start our

formal fundraising activities after the Chathurmasya Sankalpam function.
