Sadagopan Thursday, May 14, 2009 6:47 AM vellerukku nrisimhar Respected Swamin: Pranam: I hope you would have heard about Veelerukku nrisimhar I am attaching a photo of this Lord for you Recently I had the opportunity of visiting this shrine. Following are the details: this small temple(looks like bajanai mandapam of villages) is situated at Ammapettai on Tanjore mannarkudi Road I have heard about Vellerukku vinayakar. But this is the first time I am coming across this. We are having idols of Athi tree at Kanchipuram (Athivaradar) Vanamuttiperumal (near Mayiladuthurai) Ranganathar inTiruparkadal(near Tiruppukuzhi) on Chennai-bangalore Highway This is also a very old temple of nearly 300 years old. As he was an ugramoorthy on the advice of Jeer(as statd by the battar) Lakshminrisimha utsavar idol is installed .
