After this He has risen to my forehead. kamalakkaNNan- The lotus eyed Lord thOttri- who has created kamalatthayan nambi- Brahma who is on lotus from His navel kaNNudhalaan- Siva , who has an eye in his forehead aakki-also created amaladdheyvatthOdu- the devas who were without blemish ulagam- the worlds as well en kaNNinuLLaan- who has come into my eyes so that kaaNban- I am able to see the world through Him, meaning that the Azvar sees everything as the Lord vizikkum- He looks at me avan kaNgaLaalE- with His eyes aimbulanum - so that my senses avan moorthi- have become His amalangal aaga- hence become pure en nettriyuLaan- He has risen now to my forehead. The Lord who created Brahma and Siva and the devas and the worlds which denote that He is the creator and annihilator.Since He has come into the eyes of the Azvar He has become the power behind the eye and the Azvar sees everything as the Lord now. The eye stands for all the senses and hence the Lord had now become the master of all senses and the defects of the senses inducing sinful propensities due to past karma are all removed since the Lord has appropriated the senses. In this verse Azvar says that He has now come to the forehead. This does not mean the the Lord has lefet each place of his body to go to another place but means that He was pervading the whloe body slowly like the water that covers the man who immerses himself in it. 1.9.10 nettriyuL ninRennai aaLum niRaimalarppaadhangaL soodi kattraithuzaaimudikkOla kaNNapiraanai tthozuvaar ottraippiRaiyaNindhaanum naanmuganum indhiranum mattraiyamamrarum ellaam vandhenadhu ucchiyuLaane Siva,Brahma,Indra and other devas worship the Lord by wearing His lotus feet on their heads, the feet which are decorated by dense tulasi garlands, and which are on my forehead and now He has come to the top of my head. ottraippiRai aNindhaanum- Siva, who wears a single digit of the moon on his head naanmuganum- Brahma indhiranum- Indra mattrai amararum ellaam- and all the devas thozuvaar- worship kaNNapiraanai- the Lord nettriyuL ninRu- who is standing on my forehead ennaiyaaLum -to grace me, soodi- by wearing on their heads niRaimalarppaadhangaL- the feet of the Lord like lotuses vandhen- that Lord has come now ucchiyuLaanE- on my head. The Lord now goes to the head thus pervading the Azvar fully. His feet are covered with dense Tulasi garlands and they are worn by Siva, Brahma and the devas on their heads. The Azvar says that the feet which stood on his head to bless him are on the head of all devas including Brahma and Siva. Now the pervasion is complete and the Lord has risen to the head of the Azvar an who is plunged wholly in the divein experience. 1.9.11 ucchiyuLLE niRkum dhevadhevaRkku kaNNapiraaRkku icchayuL sella uNartthi vaN kurugoor sadagopan ichonna aayiratthuL ivaiyumOr oatthempraaRkku nicchalum viNNappam seyyaneeL kazal Senni porumE The feet of the Lord which extends towards the devotees will be esatblished on the head of those who daily pray through these ten verses among the thousand which are told by Kurugur Sadagopan, (Nammazvar) about the Lord who was firmly standing on his head, to narrate the actions of the Lord that would please Him. neeL kazal- the feet of the Lord whch extends towards the devotees Senni pOgume- will be placed on the head nicchalum viNNappam- of those who daily pray empiraarkku- to the Lord sonna aayiratthuL ivaiyoru patthum- by saying these ten verses among the thousand vaN thirukkurugur sadagopan- told by Kurugur Sadagopan (Naamazavar) ichaiuL sella uNartthi- to narrate the actions of the Lord that would please Him, dhevadhveRku kaNNapiraaRku- the Lord who is the Laod of devas ucchi uLLE niRkum – who stands on my head . This verse is the phalasruthi of the ten verses describing the Lord occupying the whole of Azvar slowly. Azvar says that those who say these ten verses also will experience the feet of the Lord on their head because the feet seek the devotees by themselves and comes and place themselves on their heads. The words `ucchiyile niRkum' denote that once the Lord had come to the head there is no place higher to go and hence He is stationed there firmly.
