PaadhukA JeerNOtthAraNa Kaimkaryam at Sri Ahobila Matam: Status Report

Dear Devotees of Malolan :

 

Back in July 2004 , adiyEn breifed you on the need for silver

cladding of the dhivya Paadhukais of the great AchAryAs

of Sri Ahobila Matam starting from the dhivya Paadhukais of

Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar upto idhAnim Jeeyar .

 

Due to age and the tolls from SanchAram , these wooden

PaadhukAs sanctified through association with our PoorvAchAryA's

Thiruvadis had been exposed to the inevitable stresses

and needed to be protected against these ravages .

 

Number of you responded quickly and the funds were assembeld to

start the Kaimakryam in August ,2004 during the middle of ChAthurmAsyam

at SelayUr by HH the 45th Pattam MalOla PaadhukA Sevaka

SriMath Azhagiya Singar , Sri NaarAyaNa YathIndhra MahA Desikan's

dhivya Aj~nA .

 

It is adiyEn's pleasure to report to you that all but six of the 44

PoorvAchArya Paadhukais have now been protected through

silver cladding . The start of the sanchAram on Sep 29 has

delayed somewhat the completion of the work on the remaining

Six PaadhukA sets . It is anticipated that the Kaimkaryam will be

competed soon and the dhivya PaadhukAs of Srimath Azhagiya

Singars will shine resplendently for all times to come

to light up our path .
