Guest guest
Sat nam, I have a question regarding the first sadhana meditation 'eko ong kar sat nam siri wahe guru'. I will guide this on saturday and would like some advice. Sometimes it is taught to focus om each chakra as well as applying the corresponding lock, holding them throughout and releasing out in the aura at 'guru', and sometimes it is taught focus on nothiong else but the mantra. What is the difference between these when it come to the effect, and is there any preferred way to to do it. I like the one with applying the locks. And secondly, what is the correct timing for the different syllables? I heard somewhere that the mantra should be a total of 60 secs ie there will be seven on the in the meditation. Going to the bottom of this, what tone is recommended to be used when chanting it? Actually it not so often that the tone is mentioned in relation to mantras, I know in Kirtan Kriya sa-ta-na-ma should be a-g-f-g, and for instance what is to be used for tuning out ideally? Ended up quite many questions, any answer is very appreciated. Thanks, light and love Janne Stockholm, Sweden
Guest guest
Janne....Sat Nam! Ek Ong Kar is to be chanted (according to the Teachers Manual) in 3 1/2 cycles, spirals if you will, starting from the naval and proceeding up to the 7th chakra, out the top.... Ek (short) Ong (long) Kar to follow immediately after Ong-(semi-long), Sat (short), Nam (long), siri (short) Wa He Guru (all short syllables)... letting the sound vibrate throughout... On Ek can pull in on the navel... Light, Love, Peace...... Guest guest
Dear Janne, regarding Long Ek Ong Kar's a good explanation can be found here: http://kundalini-matashakti.com/HowtochanthelongEkOngKarmantra.html This is the morning call which is the first meditation for morning sadhana after the yoga set and it uses a 2 1/2 spirale. Its best experienced during sadhana together with others although you can meditate on your own, too. You may find that it opens us up to the one true nature we all come from :-))) There are other meditations using the same mantra like the one satya kaur mentioned in the post last friday using a 3 1/2 spirale from the navel without the locks ( or just a navel pressing at " EK " ). You can find some of these in " Relax and Renew " for example. Sat Nam + Greetings to Stockholm + have a nice sadhana Martin Kundaliniyoga , " janerik_z " <janerik_z wrote: > > Sat nam, > > I have a question regarding the first sadhana meditation 'eko ong kar > sat nam siri wahe guru'.
