Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have had a student ask me what can be done for a fatigued throat? He has to talk a lot for his job and is finding this very staining on his vocal cords? Any suggestions would be great. Guest guest
Dear Siri Ram x I am sure the amount of talking is not the problem. The throat is the 5th chakra, so any exercise to strengthen the 5th chakra would be useful. But first have him meditate on the real source of strain. It comes from a fear of some sort. Guest guest
Alexander technique was developed in response to this specific problem. It has evolved into an approach in which you learn to use your body with the most natural optimal postures and movements. I take lessons and I find it to very very helpful as a system of informing my mind-body connection with subtle adjustments and increased body awareness. As a massage therapist is really important to use my body ergonomically. Its focus is different than KY; it synergizes with KY nicely IMO. _THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE_ (http://www.alexandertechnique.com/) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
