Guest guest
Dear Soniya, Life is never too simple, is it? You must get your sleep. It is one of the three pillars of basic health and balance. You need to " decompress " quickly when you get home so that your sleep can be more rejuvenative. I use the bath for this. Lavender and Eucalyptus essential oils are my good friends. You'll at least want to do some gentle stretching with conscious breath to release the day from your body and mind, and shower afterward (or before). One other ally of mine is the Sun Ancon Chi Machine. They are not cheap (check out Ebay). There are times when I thought I needed a 2 hour nap but instead chose to do 15 minutes on my machine and ended up making it through the day in okay shape. This time on the train can be time for you to read your Banis in a soft voice. People will hardly notice and wont be bothered. Use earplugs to block out other noises. If you get a seat maybe you can Sodarshan Chakra Kriya ( http://www.sahej.com/Sodarshan.html ) Your daily routine can be shortened and is ideally done in the morning. You wont have time for a longer Kriya. I have done well by simply doing Archer Pose (3-5 minutes on each side with breath of fire, 5 minutes of Frog pose (108 anyway), 11 minute layout and then up to 15 minutes of this particular Whahay Guru meditation. It really clears the mind and aura and gets me in a real good frame of mind to work. It's what works for me but you can certainly try it (it was prescribed for me by Gurucharan Singh). Dr. Majid Ali's breakfast takes 70 seconds to prepare so no time is lost there. Use you weekends to go deeper into your practice. In your spare time try to find some job closer to home if at all possible. Blessings, Dharam Millis, MA P.S. There is a Kriya for Mastering Sleep in " Sadhana Guidelines " by Gurucharan Singh but I don't think it reduces the need to sleep. Guest guest
Dear Sonyia: What causes fatigue is negativity. So any kundalini yoga set helps if you are willing to give yourself to the yoga so that the negativity you were holding on to gets released. You can practice without the yoga kriyas to notice what negativity you may be holding on to and that is yoga as well: worries, fears, angers, victimization... and become aware that any of it is just based on your misinterpretation of events in your life. Every experience you go through is a gift to help you release negativity, and embrace life to the fullest, each of these gifts is a call to increase your awareness and consciousness... nothing is wasted! When you find yourself you cannot laugh at what is going on in your life, you are holding on to a grudge or some fear... Accept to laugh at not being able to laugh... It is like tuning in to a radio station. You cannot listen clearly to 2 stations at once. Similarly, you can tune in to any of the negativity you choose to or you can tune in to joy, celebration, love, laughter... When you tune in to joy etc you cannot at the same time hold on to negativity, you have to let go of your hold on it... Know that you don't need to know why events are happening as they are, you don't need to know why people upset you, you just need to accept that it happened without trying to escape it in any way, just making peace in your heart with the fact that events happened exactly as they did. Then respond consciously the best way you wish you would be remembered for responding! Blessings, Awtar Singh
Guest guest
Dharam! An electronic device to raise your Chi? I am surprised. So many ways to acquire this energy, without a device. Sending you a Chi Ball, Linda > One other ally of mine is the Sun Ancon Chi Machine. > needed a 2 hour nap > but instead chose to do 15 minutes on my machine and > ended up making it > through the day in okay shape. Guest guest
Satnam , Thank you for your reply > What causes fatigue is negativity. I am a bit confused why you feel that my fatigue is related to negativity, I think you have never been to India, neither travelled in Mumbai Local trains, when you have to travel standing for 6 hours (3 hours to go and 3 hours to return) and work for 9 hours,it will cause you tiredness and fatigue. I appreciate your suggestion and will take a look inside to release any negativity i have I have began the Kundalini kriyas so i am very sure I am becoming a better person per day. What's normal for one person may not be for another. So I really cannot say. Yogi Bhajan once spent 18 days without sleeping. What's the difference between us who need to sleep every night and him do you think? Of course after these 18 days he became sick. Our bodies do need to sleep. I know that when I took the teacher training we slept very little from 10pm to 3 am every day for the length of the training, 12 days or so. There were lots of reasons to be tired: we exercised, we did lots of yoga, Yogi Bhajan pushed our buttons. there was no time to process everything. Many students slept during the afternoon lectures. I did not want to because I had paid lots of money for this training. I did not want to waste it. So I asked myself how I could stay awake in the afternoon. Then it occurred to me that I was excited about learning but if I focused instead on the little sleep I had and the little time I had to process, I felt exhausted. If instead I focused on my excitement, my joy to learn, I was awake. I had a choice to focus on the negative or the positive.
