Water retention

Sat Nam everyone,

 

I seem to be having a problem with water retention, it

is mainly in the legs. I am thing about doing a

watermelon cleans for one day to see if that would

help. Any suggestions would be helpful.

 

I am currently doing " Kundalini yoga for Self-Care

Take away the stress of daily life with a meridian

tune up and deep relaxation " . I started it on the 12

or 19th of May.

 

Does anyone have instruction for the kriya To build

Stamina and Spark the Glandular System? Two rounds of

this kirya are supposed to be done before doing the

Self-Care kirya.

Dear Guru Sadhan Seva Kaur:

 

I don't know how old you are but there are many things that can cause

retention of fluid in the legs and ankles..............hormones, too much salt

in the

diet, weight problems, heart problems, poor venous return. Are you

pre-menopausal?

 

From the Western point of view you would look into decreasing salt in diet to

less than 2000 mg(that is no added salt to any food or cooking..foods have

plenty of salt). Using support hose is very helpful if you sit too long or

stand too long ... heart problems need to be in consultation with your doctor.

Women have a problem with hormones and leg and ankle swelling. Lying down

with your legs elevated above the heart helps drain legs with poor circulation.

Walking supposedly helps strengthen the ability to keep the veins strong.

However, that said, many of us inherit poor venous valves ..

 

I will leave it up to the Eastern practitioners to suggest the various kriyas

since I am still very far from being an expert at Kundalini.

> Cause in self care kriya I don't know exactly but if you start

trying who you are I hope And really i've experienced all sorts of

problems related to body and mind will vanish as a magic. If you

wish I can describe this therapy .

Teresa,

 

I am 47 and I will be turning 48 next month. I have

gone through my change in life. I really did not have

too many problems I just had hot flashes and that only

lasted a short time.

 

My ankle are not swollen it is just my thighs and

cafes. It could be the humid weather too.

 

I just thought I'd mention, I went to the King Tut

exhibit today and it was wonderful.
