Guest guest
Sat Nam! Someone had a question about easy pose a while back which I think was not answered. Yes, you can sit in half lotus pose. I would suggest changing legs from time to time (either during the time of your practice or on alternate days) so that you balance out your hips. I translate Easy pose as any sitting position that is easy for you. (One definition of Easy pose is the legs folded in front of you, but not one leg on the other.) Maybe this was " easy " for someone. But it is not easy for everyone. The important thing is that you are comfortable and that your spine is adjusted so you are sitting on your sit bones and the heart is open. To do this pull in the navel to adjust the lower spine so you are sitting on your sit bones. Adjust the neck by slightly pulling back and up so the heart is open. In lotus this spinal alignment happens automatically. You can also use a pillow to raise the buttocks so the spine is aligned.
