Guest guest
Sat Nam All, I am questioning something I read in a major yoga publication this evening. The article is titled " Energy Rising " and discusses Kundalini meditations presented by Swami Shankarananda, Swami Chetanananda and Swami Vivekananda. Their tradition is distinct from the Kundalini Yoga that was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan, which is a Sikh tradition that teaches a hatha yoga practice. " While I understand that Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan has no patent on Kundalini energy and that Yogi Bhajan is a Sikh, I was not of the understanding that the yoga he taught was itself a Sikh tradition nor that it was a hatha practice. Can someone give some clarification? If I, as a teacher am confused, students or those thinking of beginning a practice may be even more so. There is so much I don't know and each day brings something new to light! Guru Gopal Kaur
Guest guest
Good morning, I was reading your email and I'd like to know if you can define what is the Kandalini force. I mean: what is the sensation that de Kundalini produces in ourselves. I've been reading so many articles and books about that precious theme, but, I confess, it's very hard to understand, even more to feel it. Don't you think so? I'm a brazilian practice of yoga. My master is the teacher Hermógenes. Thank you for your attention and thank you for writing to me. Guest guest
Sat Nam Britto, I can only write from my own experience with the sensation of Kundalini Energy. For me it has been almost like a gradual awakening and a generally a subtle feeling of flow or movement in the central portion of my body along the spine, but encompassing an area of greater circumference than the spine. The energy can be concentrated at the chakras, sometimes all, other times I feel the sensation more strongly gathered at one place. There have been times of a sensation of a stronger surge of upward flow and euphoric awareness. It is never the goal of my practice and I don't particularly attempt to define what I am feeling as it happens. Keep up with your practice and watch yourself expand. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Guru Gopal Kaur!! thanks, thanks a lot for your response. It helped a lot. how marvellous it seems to be the Kundalini force!! but, is it possible to tell, from your experience with Kundalini, which Asanas are better to begin to feel the Kundalini force? To feel it is necessary to practice much? How many years? I've been practicing Yoga since 2004. Sometimes, when I'm in deep concentration, making a meditation or saying a mantra, I see " things " . Is it normal? Sometimes, I get frightned with my visions. Your sincerely, Andrea Britto da Cunha, from Rio de Janeiro (BRAZIL) Kundaliniyoga , joan richards <joancarol wrote: > > Sat Nam Britto, > > I can only write from my own experience with the sensation of > Kundalini Energy.
