Guest guest
You will experience what you experience. There is no need to qualify the experience as good or bad. Go without expectation and develop your own awareness during the process and the after effects. Before you try anything like this please go into it slowly. In Kundalini Yoga we don't do postures for an hour. We do meditations that long, but we start usually with 2-3 minutes or 11 minutes (depending on the inner strength it takes to hold the posture for the meditation) and then increase the time gradually day after day... until you get to an hour. The experience depends on you and the way your energy runs whether it will be positive or negative and also how you interpret your experience. Feeling like throwing up may seem like a " bad " experience to some but put into perspective that toxins are being expelled may then seem like a very positive experience... If you feel drawn to hold a posture that's not described as a meditation for an hour. Then as far as I know you are outside of the realm of Kundalini Yoga because in Kundalini Yoga we don't add to yoga sets and meditations that have been given to us by Yogi Bhajan. You may feel that that's what you need to do and it is OK to experiment. That's how teachers like Iyengar got to where they are. Then do it under the supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. I suggest an Iyengar yoga teacher who by training will know proper body alignment. Guest guest
It is very, very rare that an exercise, specially after one time doing, brings a long ongoing good result. It is even a hinderence to have too much expectations. Growth happens on its own. It fits with you perfectly well. But you can not know what is the way of inner growth. Even once you come into blissful states of meditation which hold on the whole day, it is completely uncalculable how bliss grows. What at all can we know on bliss before we have experineced it. So it is far mor e wise to be as open as possible to any devlopement. But not only the exercise is importent but also how you deal with daily life. For me ot was very prescious to help dying people. It ist not only love for the other. It also can give you very prescious and deep insights into live. It can help you to go deeper into acceptence of your life situation. Acceptence does not mean that you habe to approve it. But with acceptance you are closer to the solution. If you fight with a lifesituation it can become destructive. But wehen you accept the life as it is with inner silence you have good chance to give it a good turn. But fighting will not bring a good turn. And acceptence you can learn from dying people. It is very prescious. And when you can see that by your help a dying person can go happily with fullfilled face it gives you also fulfillment. If this is too difficult for you, you also can ask in childrensgarden to tell a nice story. Children can be very fascinated. So your love can also grow very naturally. Anyway a crestive life in connection with the exercise, both done with awareness, is very helpful. Many do the exercises without awareness then progress is very, very slow. One time a christian which is very unknown sayd in a way as if he would be a yogi: " A ttentiveness is the hearts stillness unbroken by any thougt. " The harts stillness leads to bliss.
