Guest guest
Namaste I am new to the broader yoga scene and have dabbled in Asanas & various flows from small local class to a few various DVD routines. I have been doing a self look after the mass destruction of NYC & OKC buildings and the recent war to understand myself better. This has led me to slow down my hectic work pace which led to no personal life or real interaction with others to change and become reconnected with others and open up my creativity and rely less on materism. My current goals: 1) Asanas; to rebuild my body core strength & flexibility 2) ???; a look into reconnecting with my spiritual being and learn to become a better member of my community. 3) Tantra; to prepare myself for a future mate. 4) YT; I had heard that can help propel my goals through the journey. From my basic book on yoga, there are areas of study that met my goals, but; during the last few days I have been searching the archives here for more information about one major aspect of KY that concerns me, and I have yet to find an old thread on the subject. It is on “Kundalini Syndrome” from an unprepared “Spontaneous Kundalini Awakening”. I would like know how to better prepare myself by placing appropriate boundaries while I continue my study/practice. Yoga is vast field of study and I do not expect to know all aspects within the upcoming months. Thanks to you fellow practitioners and Namaste, Ron ______________________ Send your friends personalized video messages! Guest guest
I am also new to KY, but I am reading a book which is most informative and enlightening on the awakening process....it is called The Soul's Journey: Guidance from the Divine Within, by Lawrence Edwards, PH.D. This might help with the so-called mystery of the awakening. As Gururattan says in her book Transitions to a Heart Centered World (offered at Yoga Tech. this particular KY training eliminates the overwhelming awakening and is more gentle and gradual (no need to freak out, that is). Good luck on " our Journey " Much Love, Carol ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
