Guest guest
Sat Nam, I came across a DVD called Dancing Bhangra by Ravi Kaur. I am interested in buying this DVD. I wanted to know if anyone in the group is familiar with this type of dancing or the DVD? Would it be a good investment to buy this DVD? Any information would be well appreciated. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Bhangra is a traditional dance of the Punjab in India. It is a very energetic dance that uses all of the limbs of the body. It is most likely seen at Indian weddings all around the world if you have been to one. The good thing about bhangra it can be danced to with just one instrument (Dhol Drum) or as the most common nowadays bhangra music. It is a genre all by itself mostly mixed with hip hop it todays age. Bhangra tends to use your whole body rhythm in tune with the beat of the drum and you just move. People have made dance routines from bhangra but it most enjoyable when you just let yourself go in tune with the drum beat. It is a very good execise for the body I have found as there are many different beats and sounds that can be used together. My advice is just get up and move at the next bhangra event you are at and let you body move!! Blessings, Goldie. Sat Nam, I came across a DVD called Dancing Bhangra by Ravi Kaur.
