Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am new to Kundalini yoga. I have been reading a little about it and the chakras and want to start practicing. I am 27. Mother to four beautiful little children-6,5,2 and 1. Have been married for 8 yrs to a wonderful man. I started a yoga practice a few months ago, basic hatha. I only practiced for twice a week for 2 months and noticed a change happening inside me. But b/c of circumstances I had to stop for awhile. I notice that I go through cycles and am desiring to evolve. I do not want to become dogmatic. I just want to break the depression and anxiety that comes and goes. My husband is interested in trying yoga out too. We have been having some problems and I thought yoga would probably do more than counseling would. He has uncontrollable anger (not physically abusive, he has never laid a hand on me) and I have trust issues. We both love each other very much and want a change. The only thing that I have noticed to work in the short amount of times that I tried it is yoga and meditation. I am going to open up and tell some things about my life and I hope that this is a safe place for it. I was severely abused as a child. And it has affected me still as an adult. And I just want to be able to love myself and be true to who I am and stop the self destructive patterns. So I was thinking of trying out a Kundalini Dvd for my husband and I to practice together in the evenings. We do not have a babysitter who is available regularly so we have to do it at home when they are in bed. Does anyone have any recommendations? This will be my husbands first time trying yoga. And my first time with kundalini. I am hoping to get our chakras in line and all that good stuff. Thanks for reading. ~One Love~
Guest guest
Sat Nam Tina, You have come to the right place. There are some wonderful DVD's by Nirvair Singh Kalsa that you can purchase from www.yogatech.com There are others of course but these are ones that I have tried myself. I think that it would do you and your husband good to do something like Kundalini Yoga together. It most certainly would work on some of the issues that you both have. I for one have been battling with an inner anger for many years. I have not been on the Kundalini yoga path for long but have noticed a difference already. The one thing that Kundalini Yoga will do is to bring things to the surface that have been repressed. Just remember that and try to work through them when they do occur. Blessings on your journey Love and Light .

Guest guest
Sat Nam Tina, Sat Nam means " Truth is my identity " or " My Truth " . When you embark on your Kundalini yoga journey " Sat Nam " will come up many times in meditations and kriyas. It's also a lovely way to greet someone or to give thanks. Love .
