Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here to the group, my name is Christine and I was wondering if I could get some help with some questions I have. Just starting with KY, have been on a spiritual path for many years and have been doing Sivananda yoga for a little while and would like to incorporate the two together. Was a little alarmed after reading a post today, I didn't think there would be any issue with it. Would like to get some feedback to see if what I'm doing is okay and also to check about some questions I have... So far my session is: open with asking for assistance, got the mantra from the KY website I am doing the 4 part breath with SA, TA, NA, MA, in place of one of the breathing exercises I do in my session. Then the nostril breathing after that, but also meditate on the same four things while doing it, sometimes also breathe in -- in four steps with the words too. Then after that I do my Sivananda yoga. So far I haven't seen any issues but would like to make sure! Also was wondering, have only been trying this for three days, am doing an AM and PM session. So far haven't felt a lot of KY energy. I'm anxious to have results since I feel this yoga will help me overcome some very negative emotional states I get into -- the result of past traumas. I believe that being in a higher vibration will allow me to overcome the lower vibration -- would like to hear about anyone else who is dealing with this, or successfully dealt with it. I have searched high and low for something to help me and have tried many things -- so far the only thing that helps is silent transmission -- when I am around someone in this state I can feel the energy and I am better -- I need to be able to generate this from within though -- I could use any advice I can get as this has been a very serious issue for me. Feel that this KY will be the answer but would like to hear from some experts. I sure hope so! Does it take a while in practice to activate or just different for everyone? Sometimes it seems like I'm feeling something -- but it only happens when I am holding the breath after the inhalation -- is this what to expect? Was not sure -- am I just plain getting dizzy -- LOL -- or am I really feeling energy moving! LOL Some places say it comes from the base of the spine -- travels to the crown chakra, others say from the area in the pelvis underneath the navel, moves to the heart chakra, then to the crown chakra then down the spine. Would like to be really clear about what will happen since I think that also imagining it at the time may help the energy to move. Read some other things on the internet about people having negative consequences after having this energy arise. I have been working to prepare myself for this, physically live a very good regime for a long time and feel my body is ready, but am concerned about the emotional issues, if they will cause blocks in the chakras to the KY energy rising etc. or will it effect how I will assimilate the energy? Did see on Wikipedia that there is a syndrome called Kundalini Syndrome where people have had some very tough outcomes and want to make sure this doesn't happen to me. Thanks very much in advance for any help! Appreciate being able to access all of this information on the internet and being able to come here! : ) Christine
Guest guest
Hey Christine, You are not the only one that had felt strange symptoms, and I'm not trying to scare you, I have felt strange symptoms also, that are normal at the beginning, like dizziness, heat, and many others, just google kundalini symptoms and you'll see. I am also new in this meditation. Hope you'll be ok. My best wishes SAT TA NA MA Aisha Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect. Join 's user panel and lay it on us. Guest guest
We waste so much time simply not thinking about God. That's all you really need to know. If you allow your mind to dwell on God instead of the ego you will always be blameless. Why are we spending so much time on our so called " spiritual quests " doing the exact opposite. Let go and trust God. Kundalini is nothing more than a cleanser. Once it cleanses just stop sinning and strive diligently to keep your mind fixed on the thought of God. If your not dwelling on that Holiness all the asana and pranayama and meditation in the world won't bring you salvation. These techniques are meant only to help give us the energy and dexterity to do just that. Remain permanently fixed on that Thought. The longer you think of Him the deeper your self-realization will go. That's the secret they never tell you and the one thing that is crucial to making all this stuff work.
