How should a woman eat?

I heard briefly on a you tube from a Guru that a woman should not eat

until 10am. I am a woman in my late 30's and I am very interested in

my diet at this time. I thought that if you wait until 10am you will

slow down your metabolism (which I definitely do not want). Can anyone

offer me guidance in this area. Thank you very much.

Hi. I am a 40 year old woman who reads about yoga all the time. There are

some things I have learned from yoga about eating that have helped stay slim

and healthy.

 

I personally do not like to eat much breakfast. I prefer just some fruit

until real hunger strikes around 10AM. I really pay attention to my real

hunger as opposed to what I " should " be eating when. In the morning, often all

I

want is a bit of fruit which works out if I want to do some yoga. What works

for me is a light breakfast, maybe a more substantial lunch and then have

dinner be the heaviest. But always pay attention, sometimes I really want some

protein earlier in the day and that's OK. I eat only veg protein. AFter

eating an especially heavy meal, it's not a bad idea to fast.

 

Overeating was a big problem for me in my twenties. I have since learned to

never overeat. I am happy to say I have changed this habit that was

detrimental to my vitality, even if I ate healthy foods.

 

I believe in eating with the seasons. When it's hot, it's very natural to

eat more raw/cooling foods because the sun and warmth give you that extra heat

and energy you need. But in the winter, I have to make a conscious effort to

eat something warm and energizing to keep my warmth and energy. If I don't, I

am perpetually cold and listless. Of course, everyone has different

degrees of warmth within and you can follow your own intuition. Remember, your

body

can change though with your diet and it's good to modify. What's wonderful

about Kundalini is that it improves circulation and warmth and that is such a

blessing.

 

I have more thoughts but I will stop there.

It is not that you have to wait until 10 am. A woman can take a simple

breakfast that consists of nearly 400 calories between 8 am to 10 am.

Lunch can be between 1 pm to 2.30 pm. It must consist only a cup of

rice. Add lots of vegetables and fruits. caffeine is bad for a woman's

health. So it is good to take milk in the evening. Your dinner time is

very important. Because it is good to go to bed at least 2 hours after

your dinner. Dinner should be very light. Do not add any oily items to

your dinner. Add a fruit or some milk before u go to bed. good luck!.

i dont think there is any such restrictions for women...as we are to save the

world and for that we need to have proper food...theres a long gap between

dinner and breakfast....Read it properly the word its BREAK -FAST, so after in

fasting (while sleeping) we need to take food as rearly and as proper it should

be...dont worry have proper food. and be healthy..and you are welcome always

hi,,, i agree with all, whatever you wrote. You are quite aware of how and when

to take food......and its perfect. carry on with your own way of eating healthy.
