Guest guest
I´ll tell you about my daily routine and hope fully along the way I´ll answer your questions about cold showers and times. Here´s my sequence for morning practice. First you start out with the stretch pose in bed to get your navel center going and to get you motivated to get out of bed. lift legs 6inches off ground keeping legs straight and start doing breath of fire while just lift your head enough to see your toes. This works better than coffee, believe me. (2mins-up to 11mins) I do about 2mins. Then do ego eraticator to clean and consolidate your magnetic field. (This may sound like mumbo jumbo but over time if practiced daily this stuff really works these simple practices keep you motivated for a daily routine, feeling good, and well on your way to making the changes you desire.) The stretch pose in bed is key because usually I want to just sleep some more like most of us. After this cold shower. (Today I didn´t cause I have a cold) Cold showers build your nervous and immune systems. Also, good for circulation and getting rid of toxins. Most importantly help wake you up before practice. Later tune in, do some stretching. I do about 10mins. Then I start my kriya (Sat Kriya 22mins- layout 22mins) Finally I finish with Sodarshan pranayam 22mins. Then 11mins. rest or 1mintue breath to integrate. (I have a question to the group do I tune in separatly for each kriya and meditation or only once at the beginning of practice? Good thing I joined this group after 4 years I still have questions) I feel great now! This morning when I was in bed I felt like calling in sick to work. I´ve got a cold, but as soon as I started pumping my stomach and doing stretch pose I immediately got the willpower to get up and start my practice. For a timer I use a 6 euro digital basic watch with alarm. It has a stop watch. Then I put it behind my butt and forget about it until the alarm rings. It´s good to put it behind you cause then you´ll be tempted to look and the idea is to disconnect and go with the flow of the meditation. (Sodarshan kriya 22mins 700?days sat kriya 100+days= feeling good) -Chris Charles klondike2k <klondike2k wrote: Hi I'm grateful for this group and learn lots from the postings. i have a couple of questions: whats the reason behind cold showers? and, are there any suggestions for types of timers to use? Guest guest
Cold showers will really rev the circulation up...get the energy on the move so to speak. I got a $9 alarm clock at Walgreens that works just fine...gives a good beat too.,helpful with some of the chanting. Guest guest
sat nam cold showers are great, they really charge you up and energize you.u can feel warmth in your body circulating after cold shower and wiping yourself dry.and whats better is that during winters you dont feel cold afterwards, like if you take a hot shower, and when you go outside in open you feel like shivering cold, but that doesnot happen after cold showers.and yes do gagging also ,the first thing in the morning,it really prevents you from colds also by removing all the mucus and toxins from throat and tongue, and gagging also wakes u up,i mean when you gag till you have watery eyes you just wake up.it has helped me a lot. Guest guest
Sat Nam everyone, Go to the hardware store and get a kitchen timer for a couple of bucks. If you want to spend a little over ten dollars you can get a timer that you can program for more than one set of times. They come in handy so you do not have to keep setting different times when you are doing a Kiyra.
