Guest guest
Sat nam! Thank you for sharing Alice and Atwar. I feel for you Alice. After years of unsuccessful “coupling.” And woman searching, and still being lonely thank God for this science of KY> And thank you Atwar for the clear and easy method of connecting to God or the teacher we feel an affinity for. Side note: my maturation process continues. This weekend I have begun to let go of a very very old memory and the resulting mental intrigues and habits. Wow!.. never ever thought I would be able to say this about that memory from 12 years old. There is a clear, “No, I do not want that anymore” in my head for the first time and I can feel myself doing other things that are healthier (like GIVING IT SPACE). Pema Chodron (an author of books like, “when things fall apart,” and “the places that scare you”) is a Tibetan Buddhist nun, she writes about inviting the demons to tea, and letting them be, and recommends being neutral, and breathing and to stop hurting ourselves. It sounds similar to what Guru Dev Singh says, “giving it (them demons) space”, . Let the monsters of your mind yell or kick, or try to make you react. And there you are –developing that stable neutral mind while those beasts get weaker over the months and years. I think this is what Guru Rattana is saying when we all must develop our neutral minds. If not I will suffer from the intrugues and never wake up more. I did Zen meditation for years but never got to the point of wher I am now with 1 year of KY. Thank you Yogi Bhajan!! Happy thanksgiving, Thank you all for your work on yourselves –it is very inspiring for me. Somehow, I´ve been stuck for years, meaning that there did not seem to be much of a progress while being always on my own, alone, and at the same time not even being attracted to a person who could possibly be a suitable partner for a path to share together seriously. Dear Alice: Thanks for sharing your experience. I strive to write from my experience and not from some abstract teachings and wisdom... so it is nice when what I share is confirmed by someone else's experience! To maintain a higher vibration, I would suggest for you to continue to develop your personal relationship to the divine. Communicate morning and evening with God or Yogi Bhajan or Buddha or Jesus (whoever you feel an affinity with), and allow yourself to be as close to them as you would with your best friend. Our teachers are more approachable than most of us know. We need to make the effort of releasing the distance. The distance does not come from them. We are holding on to it now, where ever it came from! Blessings, Awtar Singh
