Guest guest
Dear friends, I received this in my e-mial, and didn't see that it had been posted here, so wanted to share it. I do not know how to forward the attachment, which contains the recipes, so I'm sure you can e-mail Veronica and ask her to post to the list. Sat nam, Kartar Kaur ps the attachment also includes some wonderful words and message from Veronica about her mother-in-law, Bebeji. from: " Veronica Sidhu " <sidhuvj Dear Family and Friends, It is a day for all of us to count our blessings! We have so much to be thankful for, family and friends and especially the heritage we have received from our ancestors. I have been doubly blessed because of the heritage I received through my husband, Parmpal. He is certainly the disciplinedman he is today because of his grandfather, Babaji. And he is certainly the caregiver he is because of his mother, Bebeji. It is in her spirit and with memories of her guidance that I began to give cooking lessons to raise money for scholarships in memory of our dear grandson Benny and this has blossomed into a book and magazine article. Who would have thought that Bebeji's recipes and the story of her life would reach so many! Attached you will find the five-page article from the latest issue of Kaurs magazine, a magazine for Sikh women all over the world that features our Bebeji Jagdish Kaur. The story is " Classic Combo " from my cookbook and memoir that will be published by Hippocrene Books in October of 2008 called " Menus and Memories From Punjab " . More info will be forthcoming. ( The magazine article does not explain all the Punjabi words because of its audience, so if you have any questions, please e-mail me.) May you be guided today and always by a loving, courageous and all-embracing spirit like that of Bebeji. And may you find a blessing in gratitude. With love and thanks, Veronica and Paul P.S. I do not have the e-mail addresses of all the family. Please send this article on to those who would enjoy it.
