Guest guest
Hi again Guru Rattan, Thanks so much for all your advice in the past and once again for your website. I am so very thankful that I found out about KY!!! It has been so helpful to me so far. For many years I have suffered with certain mental conditions due to post-traumatic stress and nothing that I tried could overcome the mental energies that would just take over and make me miserable. I started my practice in October and had posted here that I could feel a little energy. Since then it has taken off, and I feel a lot of energy now, it is so helpful to me when I am feeling mild/moderate negativity, it just overcomes that energy and really nothing else has worked for so long now that I am just so very thankful that this is working!!! Do have a question for you...I am extremely sensitive and feel things in my surroundings to an extreme degree, it has been both a blessing and a curse. Last night I (we have recently moved) I went to unpack some curtains and the vibration on them was SO horrible, that one glance at them and that terrible, horrible energy went into me. My Dh had to take them out to the garbage immediately. This has happened to me in the past with some other things. When it is this bad, the KY does not seem to be able to clear it away. Unfortunately when I look at things like this, the energy will go into my body system via the eyes and that is it, it is then very difficult to get it out. I have been working with the Smiling Budda meditation, and ones that effect the different energies of the body, like the arc line, the pranic body, the radiance, etc. and then also the one in toward the back of your book, I cannot recall the name of it, but you cup your hands with the edge of the pinkies touching, and look at the hands while repeating, Eck Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad, and then backward. Can you suggest anything I can do for clearing out extreme negativity? At this point in time, I just made an appointment to meet with some Chi healers as they will clear it out of me, but if there is any way with KY that I can do the same, I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks again for your website and your help! : 0 Christine
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Please resubmit your letter with a relevant title ie. Negativity -- Clearing. Then I will be glad to answer it. Others, also please wait to answer, so we can get some coherency on this important topic. It is very difficult for people to use the archives to find information, if the titles in the subject line do not correspond with the content. Thanks so much, everyone. Guest guest
I've read the Yoga Sutras, translated by Danijel Turina (the most essential of 3 yoga sutra books I've seen). My understanding is that stilling the mind is helpful, in order so we can use it as a tool effectively, free of whirlpools of thought or emotion. An empty mind not being used is like a virus-free computer turned off... it's not causing any glitches, but it's not being put to our benefit either. The goal is to still it, so that we can use it. It may be the case that for most of us, me included, it's easier to learn how to empty the mind first, as compared to purifying it while it's filled and in use. I view the goals of yoga (on the physical level) to be to purify focus and stabilize all our energy systems, so we can be more sensitive to unify with the Divine or Source / God / etc. And then to increase the energy frequency to be a greater conduit... bringing that Divine energy and wisdom into our world for us all. Jon Re: defenition of yoga Posted by: " Francesco " lttrsfra lttrsfra Fri Nov 30, 2007 6:47 am (PST) The pourpous of phisical exersises (asana) is to help to calm down celebral activities becaus the jumps of emotions, needs of body and obsessive (either good or bad) thoughts don't help Samadhi and meditation. Yoga does not want cessation of mind, but just overcome it. mind is a tool, not a ourselves. The last perpouse of Yoga (=to join) is to get only one with the Divine that " dwells in each place " , even in us. The rest is illusion. That's it. Please, excuse me if my English is not good, I hope there will not be misunderstanding because of it Sat Nam ----- Messaggio originale ----- Da: osvinod <vinod.linux A: Kundaliniyoga Inviato: Venerdì 30 novembre 2007, 10:29:31 Oggetto: Kundalini Yoga defenition of yoga Hi all, I read from pathanjali yoga sutra that the defenition of yoga as chithavrithi nirodha ( cessation of mind) when i joined yoga classes they are teaching me some body exersises and breathing exersises only , i will get most of the benefits from my Gym itself, So what is the use of doing yoga? withou doing yoga i may live 60 years, and after doing yoga i may live 100 years, any way after that i am going to die? can anyone suggest how pathanjali's defenition is related to this exercises Regards Vinod ------------------------- " Saldamente stabilito nello Yoga, Conquistatore di tesori, compi la tua azione libero dall'attaccamento (mentale), imperturbabile nella sconfitta e nel successo.
