Guest guest
Hi Margo, Welcome to the group. The fluttering heartbeat you feel after meditation could be your heart chakra processing a lot more energy than it is used to (unless, of course, your cardiologist thinks otherwise!). Try to smooth out your energy flow by meditating on all chakras, as well as by doing yogic breathwork and postures. Cheers, Sel
Guest guest
I'm not familiar with yogic breathwork and postures but I will definitely do some research on it. Thank you for your response. Guest guest
I would recommend an easy start into understanding yoga and breathing. Just sit down, quiten the body, even lie down if it helps you relax. Just concerntrate on your breathe, and then focus your energy into your heart area. Breathe more deeply and imagine your heart becoming calm with each breathe, really relax deeply into the breathe. Do a gentle stretch to open up the heart and chest area, anything that stretches the chest gently , cobra is good (lie on your front and use your arms to push yourself up until your back arches, while breathing evenly, and then lie down again flat. Hope this helps, Much love and welcome, Elektra x x x --- novalees <Novalees wrote: > Hi Margo! hug, welcome! You've come to the right > place. Guest guest
Hello, I am new to the group. I have just began my journey of working through the online course. It is my hope to live much, learn much and heal much from this program. I enjoy yoga already, so this is an expansion of my current knowledge. Any words of wisdom and/or encourangement are greatly appreciated. ~Blessings, Jen
Guest guest
Hello, I have found KY very effective producing profound results in a short time. Do one set or practice everyday for 1000 days and see what happens. Do it for the min. time 5mins say with sat kriya to keep the energy going on days where you don´t have much time. Don´t miss a day. This is the most important point. It ok to try different sets but choose one practice and stick with it everyday and you will see results. First, feelings are blissful like an awakening, then after you must deal with your shadow, your ego resists and this hurts. This hurt is an illusion keep going, don´t miss a day and life gets so much better. -Sat Nam, Chris (700 days sodarshan chakra kriya 100+ sat kriya) Jen <lilfilly wrote: Hello, I am new to the group. Guest guest
Hello Jen and Sat nam! I have been doing KY and meditations for about a year. My fiance' says she hardly recognizes me (in a good way) from the man I was. Yogi Bhajan seems to say, over and over, commitment, discipline, grit (concerning our daily practice of sadhana), and Guru Rattana's advice at times has been to: surrender to the moment, the zone, get out of our heads and into our bodies, how? Practice the lessons. My experience has been the surrendering is the hardest part - letting go after my yoga set, to just relax into the floor and not get up and go do something. Guru Dev singh (the Satnamrasayan Master) says " emptiness " is a beautiful things not to be afraid of but to embrace. SO why Kundalini Jen? Guest guest
Hi Jen, I am fairly new to KY as well. I am loving it. It is quite different from anything else I have ever done. I have been working with the DVDs done by Nirvair Khalsa, they're excellent. Actually I love it so much I have started Looking into becoming a teacher. Perhaps you could consider getting these as well. Enjoy your journey and may light be at every step. Guest guest
Hi, I'm Jan My K has been active for about a year now. I have been having heat periodically rising to my face which has caused some redness and breaking out. I have quit spicy foods and drinking lots of water. Any thoughts anyone? Guest guest
I had no idea being cold had to do with the K. Last year right before spring hit I could not get warm no matter what I did. I sat in front of the fireplace for a half of an hour and my back was on fire but I was still cold inside. I sat there until I couldn't tolerate the heat burning my back any longer. I called and made a doctor appointment and he wouldn't re-check my thyroid and sent me to a gynecologist who did absolutely nothing for me. This year I went out and bought a heating pad, space heater and a heating blanket and I'm managing to stay warm for the most part. I'm wondering if my K has been awakened, and if so, how long. It seems now that I read these posts it's been open for some time. However, I do feel there are certain chakras that are blocked. My right eyelid and the spot just beneath my nose has been twitching everyday for at least 3 weeks. It's starting to get annoying and I wonder how long this will go on. Guest guest
Welcome to the group Jan and Tammy.I've experienced K as both hot and cold but I've never known that K can manifest as freezing cold from within which i've had for several years.I've even started shivering in the summer out of the blue and later on felt fine, lol.Weird,i know! love, nicole , " Jan " <drjandean wrote: > > Hi, I'm Jan > My K has been active for about a year now. Guest guest
Welcome Jan and Tammy.Re: the cold. It was a strange experience for me also, started at an airport in Paris, strange happenings on the plane but luckily was gone in 4/5 hours. But was it COLD, a freezing whirlwind, could not warm up. Then it stopped. My 2cents.
