Guest guest
Dear Friends, My name is Mahmood Hussain and I am new to this Group. The word yoga always inspired me but I came to know about Kundalini Yoga only yesterday. Please apologize me for my ignorance for not knowing even the basics of yoga but I have always heard that yoga has been good for physical and spirtual health. I quickly glanced through some of the free online lessons on Kundalini Yoga yesterday and the website material aroused my interest to learn and practice Kundalini Yoga. Please let me know if yoga and/or Kundalini Yoga has anything to do with someone's basic religious beliefs, i.e. one has to have some specific religious beliefs to practice Kundalini Yoga or is it open to everyone irrespective of religion, cast or creed. Additionally, what are some of the fundamental ingredients/prerequisites one must know or possess to start practicing Kundalini Yoga. I highly appreciate your invaluable feedback on Kundalini Yoga. Many thanks and have a good day and very prosperous happy new year. Mahmood
Guest guest
Dear Mahmood .... Sat Nam! Kundalini Yoga is a great tool to help your reach your creative potential, reconnect you with the 'Infinite Self' deep within, attain clarity of mind, physical well-being, and grace! It is non-denominational, it is open to any one who wants to expand their awareness. Their are many websites for you to learn more about it... the home is KRI or Kundalini Research Institute in New Mexico... that website would contain a list of teachers in your area. It is best to practice in a group with a Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher. Another website is kundalini-matashakti.com I wish you all the best! humbly, Satya Kaur Mahmood Hussain <mahmood_hussain_pk wrote: Dear Friends, My name is Mahmood Hussain and I am new to this Group. Guest guest
Dear Mahmood, Welcome! Kundalini Yoga is the real-time experience of the God within the human being, in the present moment. The exercises and breath coupled with sound current causes a vibration which raises the person's frequency of consciousness higher. This higher vibration makes you feel good-- or God, depending on how you define it. It doesn't matter what belief system you to- Kundalini Yoga will make you a more devout practitioner of your faith because in Kundalini Yoga, you actually feel the god and therefore you understand the structure of your religion and belief system even more. Before Kundalini Yoga, I had been raised Catholic and then Protestant, Christian. I had fallen away from these religions because they weren't satisfying to me. After practicing yoga I came to understand Christianity even more than when I had participated in it. So have no fear, Kundalini Yoga is non-denominational and is not faith based. It is for everyone. Hope that helps! Sat Nam.
