Guest guest
Jim: These are different sounds involved: Satan and Saat Naam. What you're pointing to is exactly our job as human beings: to differentiate between what's real and what's illusion, between what's life enhancing and what life destroying, between Satan and God... So Sat Nam may remind you of Satan... the mind plays tricks like that elsewhere too... but it is still important to see the truth... and let go of the illusion... Unless you prefer to use the mantras you are familiar with and that's OK. No need to justify! Also do you have the " Ong " sound in sanscrit? Ong vibrates the pineal gland and is key to some of our Kundalini Yoga practice in its difference from " Om " . Guest guest
Many years ago (about 25 or 30 years or so) a new neighbor moved into the house across the street from our ashram here in Kansas City. In those days Yogi Bhajan hadn't yet prescribed a specific sadhana for us with mantras and mudras and times and so forth. So, whoever would lead sadhana would pick out a meditation for the day. As you might imagine, Kirtan Kriya (Sa-Ta-Na-Ma) was quite popular. It took us quite a while to meet her and her husband, they seemed to be avoiding us. Even on weekends when we'd be out mowing the lawn and they would be outside their house working, they took pains not to acknowledge us beyond, " Hello. " Anyway, a few months after moving in, when we finally made her acquaintance she said she thought we were Satan worshipers because they heard us chanting kirtan kriya and mistook it for " Satan " . Well, now she is our biggest supporter and best friend in our area and will not hear any negativity from anyone about " those folks with white clothes and turbans. " " They get up and pray every morning, " she says, " I ask them to pray for me! Guest guest
The " Ong " sound really vibrates very strong, I always use this mantra ONG NAMO GURUDEV NAMO but sometimes I use only the Ong Namo, or the Ong, one can feel all the energy vibrating with this sound and the energy goes directly to the crown chakra. sat nam Neli Looking for last minute shopping deals?
