sat nam from israel!

i have just recommitted to a steady practice, and had some nitpicky

questions; i don't have a lot of resources right now beyond what the

internet can grant me, so i'm glad to turn to you. they aren't in any

particular order.

--when you take the cold shower in the morning, how long should it be?

i can only take it for about 30 seconds before " wahe guru " becomes a

scream!

--in this kriya

is the " ong " meant to be sounded like " onnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggg " or " ong

ong ong ong ong " ? I tried it both ways, and chanting short but

continous " ongs " led me to feel a surge of energy i didn't feel

chanting longer ones.

--is it normal to feel waves of fear and anxiety after certain kriyas?

i'm either noticing my emotional states more clearly or feeling said

anxiety afterwards. similarly, is it normal to feel an almost crampy

sensation in my throat, directly under my larynx?

right now, my practice consists of said cold shower followed roughly

45min-1hr of kriya, with a meditation of 3-5 minutes, followed by

relaxation, about 4-5x per week. i am experiencing a return to self, a

sense of wellness, and a general level of energy and happiness that i

thought were impossible a few months ago--so the sadhana is a pleasure

for sure.

i thought i'd share something a very famous rabbi, rav kook, said in

his book Lights on Holiness: " A person must find themselves in

themselves, and then he can find himself in his friends, his

commmunithy and his world. "

He also adds: " When you hear your heart knocking on your spirit (aka,

when you find yourself thinking holy, spiritual or " high " thoughts),

it is a holy messenger from G-d knocking on the door, to be let in and

reveal the full glory of G-d to you. " I thought these passages were

so beautiful, and rang a bell so deep and true for me, especially with

my experiences with KY recently.

Shalom shalom shalom--

Jessie
