4-4 Breath Question

Hello,

I am interested in starting to use the 4-4 Breath as is described in

Lesson 1 at kundaliniyoga.org and have a question...

It says to pull the navel toward the spine during the inhale and exhale,

but I find that this leaves little space for new breath on the

inhale...am I missing something?

Thank you for the wonderful website,

Stephanie

I think it's sa *pump* *inhale* ta *pump* *inhale* na *pump* *inhale*

ma *pump* *inhale* sa *pump* *exhale* ta *pump* *exhale* na *pump*

*exhale* ma *pump* *exhale* with every breath being equal.

Dear Stephanie,

When I do the pumps in the 4 part breath I slightly pull in the navel with each

inhale and exhale, but I pull in and then release each time. I don't keep

pulling in. The pull in is like an activation or stimulation of the navel center

so that the energy gets more focused.

what's the *pump*?? Sounds like one could experience hyperventilation quite

easily.

If you love something, set it free if it comes back to you it is yours, if

it doesn't it never was.
