Guest guest
shalom-- i'm hoping someone out there can help me organize my sadhana. my problem is that there's so much i want to do! i want to begin an 11-day sadhana of the " magnetic field and heart center " kriya, as well as sat kriya, as well as meditation for self-animosity--but i don't want to overwhelm myself, or add to much on. would you recommend beginning with sat kriya perhaps, and then adding something on, or is it okay to take on two meditations at the same time? i am currently devoting one hour in the morning to sadhana, which is enough time for a cold shower, a kriya and a short meditation, and have found that a) waking up any early almost never happens and b) night-time meditations tend to get pushed aside, so i'm always starting my count over. i am drawn to the meditation for self animosity, whereas sat kriya is something that i feel is very powerful, and a critical building block for future practice. any advice on how to choose meditations, design a sadhana, wake up 30 minutes earlier, or anything else is very welcomed. sat nam, shalom shalom-- jessie
Guest guest
-sat nam! Jessie, Take this on the bottom rung of advice- I am at this 1 year. And can say I too started out like you. So much to do!! At night I read through the various meditations and there are 1,000's to choose from. However: Set the alarm 30 min earlier and when your wake thank god or whomever you do, for giving you life today. Then without further thought get up and hit the shower In one sense, the fact that you take cold showers puts your committment at the front of the line. I hear lectures by Yogi Bhajan scolding everyone for not taking cold showers. As for the order of the practice? Maybe mix it up for a few days and then stick to the 11 day sadhana based on those results? Or take the advice of the senior people here and base your decision on youy intuition based on that advice. ? In Guru Rattana's on line lessons she says YB spent many years giving lower triangle sets before working on higher chakra ones. Because if you are stable and established in the lower triangle the heart center and third eye can open. I did many sets with neat affects but now also do Sat Kriya daily. It is very helpful. I think in one KY book the author says if she had to choose one forever it would be sat kriya. Be well, sat nam!
