Guest guest Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 There is a great community called Fellowship Community in Chestnut Ridge, NY, which is a multi-generational anthroposiphical community. It is also affliliated with the Waldorf School called Green Meadow. This is a great source of connections, in particular. If you don't know anything about anthroposophy, I would start doing some reading. The people there are very progressive and might have some things for you to think about. Also....I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but you could become a co-worker at Fellowship (it's a bit like living on a kibbutz), and if you are a kundalini yoga teacher, they would likely use you sometimes to use that with the older generation there and also the kids in Children's Garden. Also in Chestnut Ridge is a place called Peace Through Play. I can't garuntee that you would find a " job " doing exactly what you want full-time....but since you are interested in something not normally listed on monster.com, you would probably do better to make connections and form relationships, all the while working on what you love (even if it is not how you survive financially). I really think this community would be a great resource for you. On Fridays, they have an organic vegetarian lunch at The Hand and Hoe, where you would meet lots of people. You could even get a tour of the community. I used to live near here, and have moved to CT....I miss it soooooo much, and feel out of sorts in West Hartford!!
