Guest guest
Hello, I have been a member of the group for a while but I dont ask much, I just read what others have to say. But this is something that has bothered me for many years now, and getting worst. I have been in the Cosmetology profession for many years and within that time I have developed asthma from the chemicals I used. I am also going through menapose. I have been sick with an upper respitory infection for a month. I understand it is spring and things are blooming but, this is the first year I have had such a probem. I stoped using the chemicals for 2 yrs now and still not having any success with controling my asthma. Now with 3 rounds of antibiotics (yuck) I am on an inhaler (yuck) and steriods (another yuck)....I thought about going to get acpuncture. It has help an injury I had from doing to many massages in a day, week, month....And it was wonderful....Havent had a problem with that since. Can anyone give me any suggestions???? And BTW I am 51 but in good health otherwise....I have to admit I have not done any kundalini pratice in about 2 yrs...yes I know....I need my wrists slapped...so my husband says I would love any suggestions.. Thank you for your help. Deborah

I have to ask if you've ever heard of " The Secret " ? If you have, then you know that you can change the physical part of you without any man made medicines. If you haven't seen the " The Secret " , then you should. It'll change your life like it has mine. Good Luck to you. Guest guest
Asthma and Respiratory infections... Something that I have found works better than antibiotics to kill the bacteria in respiratory infections is mass quantities of garlic! It will give you bad breath and hopefully cause you to cough out any lingering phlegm. Steam room and try to cough! Do you breathing exercises and if you need to use your rescue inhaler prior to doing the breathing it is ok. You should probably use the steroid inhaler until you recover then start to taper off if you can. Acupuncture for asthma, yes I have heard from numerous patients that it works for them Blessings. Guest guest
Deborah, I, like you, developed asthma later in life. I lived in Long Beach, CA in the path of pollutants from the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles at the time and worked right next to the 405 Freeway. There were, I am absolutely certain, emotional issued that played in to the condition as well. I did my sadhana paying attention to breathing from the diaphram and gradually was able to discontinue both Pulmicort and Albuterol during the times of year when the air was cleaner and using the Pulmicort during the late spring and early summer months. I rarely used the Albuterol. Then in 2006 I moved to northern California where the air is clean and have not used any medication since. I knew the moment I got my car to begin the the northward that asthma was a thing of the past. The last time I visited southern California was in October when the horrible fires were burning and I felt some constriction, but managed well with some essential oils. So, consider what it is that you are breathing. Sat Nam, Guru Gopal Kaur
