Guest guest
Sat Nam! I teach a 68 yr old man who has never done yoga. He sits with his knees up in the air and with a pot belly has a hard time doing the breath. We do a lot of standing exercises plus a few more relaxations to make sure everything is flowing ok. I know he is frustated, but every now and then I speak to the issue of doing only what you can do is as powerful or more powerful than not giving it your all. I let him understand that the flexable yogi that is really working on himself is the same as the one that is not flexable but is giving his best to stretch as far as is possible for him. Its a new class so he's the only one so he gets a privat class...which helps a great deal. I give him homework too...simple stuff like a breathing exercise. on to another class...
