Guest guest
Sat Sri Akal and Satnam to all, I have been in some trouble frm last few days...it is nt stress or anxiety or ny nervousness. Nor am i affected by any drugs or alcohol. Im going thru what i have identified as Identity Crisis....where im nt able to decipher what the real me is . I'm quite young in age but in a manger postion in my company and now I have come across people who are completely of different mindset of mine....so I sometimes get confused on how to respond or react to public in general. As a result Im different with different people and im different person at different places. I always am in a state where my actions and reactions are a result of others opinion about me but i dunno with what particular aspect of my own personality should i relate with. For eg ...If nyone speaks to me in a rude manner....i think to myself whether Im person who will set other person staright and clarify it there and then or I'm very diplomatic and will respond in a clever fashion at the right time....or im person who does nt take such things seriously and just lat go such emotions. I have read a lot of self help and personality devlopment books and i observe a lot of people deeply....may be that is affecting my mind in determining what personality I should i adopt naturally. I desparately want to be free of this kind of mindset and want react and act free of thinking of what am I doing. I dunno if any kind of yoga can help get a solution to this......what i have started to do is sat kriya where i submit my problem to SatNam let the force give me a solution. Ny suggestions or input will be appreciated. thanks and regards Akash Sachdev Mumbai, India _______________ Fashion Channel : Want to know what’s the latest in the fashion world ? Guest guest
Sat Sri Akal n Sat Nam.... Thanks so much for sharing this valuable perspective with me....but i see people arnd me of similar age and situation but they are clear of their identity and how they react to different situations. Although their actions and reaction are nt the most appropriate and may nt be liked by everyone....but that is what makes it their own attitude and identity. Also do u think that this kind confusion is because of me being extremely philosophical and observant of aspects of this world??? But I definately want to beleive what u say ( the expereince of growth) and continue with my yoga experience unconditionally, how ever if you know any practical excerices that can help or even any yoga techniques please let me know. Also Many thanks again and keep giving your inputs. Thanks and Regards. What you are experiencing is nothing more than a growth process and you are discovering how to react to others in different situations and in a different light. The only thing I can tell you as you learn is to act from the heart, with intentions best for the person and situation. You will learn the differences in how to treat different types of individuals, for whatever outcome you seek. Eventually, your discomfort will ease and you will reach a level of peace with your expanded being. The discomfort is growth: not an identity crisis, not a mistake, simply growth. No one can paint the way for you, rather, it is a road of discovery. Be at peace with it. Always take the high road. Always act from the heart. -K You rock. Guest guest
Sat Nam. Akash, i read your post and was awed by it because even i felt that everyone except me are clear of their identity and in what they want & do. Till now i thought my attitude is weird and started accepting it as a part of my personality. i always blamed myself for being unable to communicate the right thing to everyone and feel guilty and frustrated with my own inability to find answers for all my questions. My friends find my interest for philosophy as a strange thing n they say im interested because i have lost hope in life. I have had advice from so many people telling me to follow what my heart says. But when my heart says i have to aim for something and achieve it, what philosophy says is different. It says nothing is more important in life than self-realisation and getting united as one soul with god. Im confused as to which path i should follow. If i give up one thing for the other, i feel that my life wil be incomplete. Or perhaps i dont know the way ot differentiate my needs & desires. At this stage even i wanted to believe this 'discomfort' as an experience towards growth but im still unsure. I would be glad if anyone could clarify further. Thanks in advance, Sudharshana.
