Guest guest
Sat Nam My humble suggestions: Please do not mix prnayama with medidation. First do pranayama. Select the one which is comfortable and gives you energy slowly and steadily. After pranayama do your medidation as per the teachings you have received from your Guru. Please be clear what exactly you want to do. Please be regular. As far as possible please adhere to the same timing. Early morning is the ideal time. Please always remember your Guru's instructions. Guest guest
Before I answer, let me see if I am hearing you correctly. This is what I am hearing: You are practicing pranayama everyday faithfully for 3 months. This is your form of meditating. You are expecting to feel energized by your practice, but instead you are feeling drained and in need of sleep afterwards. You are feeling frustrated because these are not the results you have expected. You expected to be further along after 3 months. How did I do? Have I heard you correctly? The following answer assumes that I have heard you correctly. I suspect that the pranayama is in fact working, but not in the way you are expecting it to. By your practice you are purifying your body. After you release the toxins your body needs to sleep to promote healing and to readjust to the new and better circumstances. It is like you have been in a dark cave hearing about how wonderful the light outside is. But as you try to come into the light it stings and hurts your eyes -- not because the light is bad or you are doing something wrong, but because they need time to adjust. What do you think? --- Narayanaswamy Venkataramani <nvramani.venkataramani6 wrote: > Sat Nam > > My humble suggestions: > > Please do not mix prnayama with medidation. > > First do pranayama. Guest guest
Sat Nam. Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions. Frankly, i concentrated more on meditation because I was aiming for more energy to my body and wanted to find my true destiny. In the process, i was not able to connect to my inner soul due to the weariness i was experiencing. As you suggested, i think i need to change the timing of my practice and concentrate more on pranayama before starting with meditation. This reply also made me think of my results in a new dimension. Perhaps im on the way of what i wanted but my body needs more time to adjust to the changes. Im grateful for this eye opening. Thanks again. I hope to feel more energetic and aligned to my soul in the days coming. :-) Thanks & Regards, Sudharshana.
