Hi,

I always try to block any negative thoughts that comes to me. When im angry

or upset sometimes i divert my mind towards something else. But that's not

helping. Though i dont process my thoughts it comes to me back in

my dream as a result of which im not getting a good sleep. I read that we

always have to accept our emotions and be with it. What does this exactly

mean? Do i have to show my anger when im angry instead of hiding it?

Sodarshan kriya really helps with inner anger. Start with 5mins. for 40 days by

day 40 you´ll be really angry (cleaning) then you´ll feel peace for a couple of

days. Sat kriya keeps you grounded start with 5mins and work up to 31minutes

with equal lay out time. Balances lower chakra to get out of obsessive thinking

or do mahan gyan mudra to raise anger to the heart where it can be transformed

into action full 11mins. This mudra what works best for me, when I´m upset.

One of the best things I learned of emotions, feelings, etc...is that you just

allow them.  Do not try to control them and they will cease to have any control

over you.  The thoughts or feelings will still come, allow them and soon they

will flow out as easily as they came.

Sudharsana,

This is something that I have been working on, and here is what I am learning

about dealing with emotions, negative thoughts, pain, etc...

Instead of blocking negative thoughts, simply be aware of them, as an observer.

If you can observe while it is happening, you will release it rapidly. If you

are not able to observe it while it is happening and become lost in it, then

that's alright. You can work with it retrospectively, meaning to reflect on the

experience after you come out of it--without judgment, you can review the

experience and learn from it.? If you continue this practice, the time will get

shorter between the emotions arising and you noticing it until you are able to

notice it when it is arising, or even before it arises.

Sat Nam Sudharsana,

It helps me (thanks Awtar!) to sit with my thoughts, allow them to

express themselves in my body as the energy they are and learn the

lesson they bring me. This does not always happen immediately. If you

feel anger, feel anger. That does not mean you have to express that

anger in an action or harsh words to another or to yourself. The anger

is not you. It is energy you are attracting at the moment. Can you

use the energy of that emotion to change an injustice? or your own

thinking? Pen and paper can be a marvelous tool with which to explore

the thread. And of course there are numerous kriyas and meditations to

help process your emotions.

Beautiful Day,

Sat Nam.

Thank you for your valuable inputs. Now that i have already started doing

the sat kriya and its been 20 days, i couldnt judge my own progess which is

why i posted this query and the reply has been splendid. Im doing meditation

for nearly 30 minutes everyday and im visualizing some jumbled words out of

the air as if its displayed on a screen but im unable to interpret it. I

think after few days i should be able to understand what it is that my inner

conscious trys to tell me and also convert my anger into some other form of

energy. Let me work it out and get back to you. :-)

Thanks & Regards,

Sudharsana

Sodarshan Kriya is very powerful. I did for 52 days (sun/planet cycle)

about two years ago. It is very cleansing emotionally and physically.

After just five minutes I would be pouring with sweat as waves of heat

pushed through me.
