Guest guest
Sat Nam Like every member of this group, I am required to write a brief introduction. My passion for reading got me interested in Kundalini yoga and meditation. I have been a regular 'nitnem' person most of my life and thus aware of the daily prayers of sikh religion. But I started meditation only about 6 months ago, mostly learned from books I borrow from a local public library and later bought for my treasured collection. Ever since my interest has grown in Kindalini yoga - meditation in particular. Considering that I am only an 'sk' student yet, it's a long way to go and wish to learn a lot from the group. Hi Vaughn, I'm a kiwi but somehow have ended up in the cols and damp of north east of England. Good luck with you experience of Kundalini Yoga. Is there a teacher near you? I do a regular daily practise without a teacher. Some of us find we work harder in a class than we do on our own. Happy festive period to you & everyone else. Guest guest
Sat nam Varsha I am a student of KY and am replying to you because I understand what it is like to really want to tap in but don't know how the first step. I was there not that long ago! I started KY in July 2008 but had done it previously intermittently. I am currently working through the lessons on Guru Rattana's website kundalini yogaclasses.html. They are brilliant. There is a lot of reading and I printed them off and made workbook. I am also writing up my experiences in the workbook for my own insights and to see my growth. There is a brilliant KY class down the road from me once a week that really helps. I went online to find the class and also made some telephonic enquiries. I think it's nice to find a teacher and fellow students to touch base with because you will have questions. It's also nice to hang out with like minded souls. I also did a search on You Tube and found some lectures from Yoga Bhajan that has helped align me with regard to morning Sadhana. There is a lot on You Tube. This list is brilliant and I read the postings every day. I learn a lot from here. Good luck and stick with it. I was very depressed in July with no hope. Today I have sunshine in my heart. I am at the beginning of my journey and I am hooked! Every day is a small step.
