It is easy. Get a case not just a bottle or two of those little black pellets because you have to to a lot at one time. This works. If no Chinese herb shop near, get them on line. Guest guest
Sat Nam, I don't know what they are called. But if you ask for an herb for hot flashes, there is a very common remedy sold in Chinese herb shops. Look on line and you should find it. There are other products made of yam extract that also work. Basically if you ask for remedies for hot flashes, those who know herbs will know immediately. There aren't many choices. Guest guest
Sat Nammmmmm They contain horse placenta, I used to take about 12 of them. I always wonder why the tablets were not larger and higher dosage. As I recall my acupuncturist gave me the bottle it had a yellow label and had no English translation for the name, but did have ingredients translated I agree there are not many choices --- Received: Thu, 29 May 2008 03:16:39 AM PDT " Guru Rattana " <gururattan <Kundaliniyoga > Re: Kundalini Yoga NAME OF BLACK PELLETS for hot flashes Sat Nam, I don't know what they are called. Guest guest
Sat Nam Women in Transition! I have found an herbal tincture by Western Botanical Medicine to be a great help. It has not eliminated hot flashes, but reduced the intensity to a point where I can sort of lean and breathe in to them. I like to imagine they are burning karma. Sitali breath helps. Back to the tincture - it contains Sage flowering herb, Wild Yam root, St. John's Wort flowering herb, Chaste Tree Berry and Black Cohosh root. It is available online at westernbotanicalmedicine.com. There are many herbal remedies. New Chapter makes Estrotone which is all herbal. What ever you try, give it some time and realize, too, that this is a powerful time of your life and that the physical sensations accompanying your continued growth and evolution are a part of the process. Remember adolescence? I'll take a hot flash any day! Choices abound. Guru Gopal Kaur
Guest guest
Sat Nam. The name of the " black pellets " is XIAO YAO SAN (in an earlier posting I misspelled it as SHAO YAO SAN) and that's the name you call at the Chinese medicine store to get it. It does not contain horse placenta at all, and FYI here are the ingredients of it (the black pellets) Ingredients of XIAO YAO SAN : CHAI HU (Bupleurum/bupleuri Radix (means root)) DANG GUI (chinese Angelica/angelicae Sinensis Radix) BAI SHAO (White Peoni/peoniae Lactiflorae Radix) BAI ZHU )White Atractylodes/Atractylodis Macrocephalae Radix) FU LING (White Poria/Poriae Selerotium) (ZHI) GAN CAO (Honey-fried) Licorice BO HE (field mint/mentha) (WEI) JIANG (slightly roasted) Fresh ginger/Zingiberis Officinalis. all of the above is mixed up and made into the tiny pellets (no preservatives) The actions of the pills: Relieve liver Qi constraint (this means that it moves or free-courses the Qi of the liver) (liver-Qi stagnation is what makes people act real mean, angry and many times evil), back to action of the pills: tonifies the blood and spleen. Harmonizes the liver and spleen. So anyway folks, going to a Chinese doctor (not chinese by nationality, but practitioner of Chinese medicine is what I mean Like me should do you real good. Chinese medicine is a wonderful preventer of disease and I believe that everybody should have their Chinese doctor handy and pay him/her a visit on a regular basis, for ANYTHING. Remember folks that disease is a natural occurrence in this realm of reality; the secret to achieve " good health " or live in good health, is through the vigilant practice of prevention. A Chinese medicine doctor as your family doctor is smart on many fronts, one of which (and very important) is financially. Guest guest
It's an interaction of a dual pattern: Hyperactivity of Liver Yang and Kidney Yin and Yang Dual Deficiency; where the patient feels dizziness, headache, irritability, hot sensations in the body and face, vertigo, tinnitus, lumbar soreness, hot flashes, night sweats, and alternating hot and cold sensations or hot above and cold below.
