Guest guest
Sat Nam! Reading the booklet of the cd " One in the spirit - 30 years of 3HO Music " I've found some unknown words. In the song " Get out of bed you little sleepy head " what does it mean " gag like a yak " and what is a " winky dink " (the quote is " Get to the sink you little winky dink " )? Last one, in the song " Captain Karma " , what does it mean the word " goeth " (the quote is " But that ol'Captain knows the ego you're trapped in-pride goeth before a fall " )? Thank you all in advance (it's a wonderful cd...funny and deep!) Fateh Dharma! Sujan S. http://www.yoga-kundalini.it
Guest guest
Hi, I don't think there is a deep or hidden meaning....Yogi Bhajan was a funny, funny man....goeth would be " go " ....winky dinky a fun phrase for sink...and so on....just Yogiji's way. Guest guest
Goeth -- old English for goes (sounds better in the song -- poetic license, I guess) Winky Dink probably just an " endearment " like sleepy head -- you know, still blinking and winking and not quite awake. The CDs sounds like lots of fund. _____ Kundaliniyoga [Kundaliniyoga ] On Behalf Of Sujan S. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 1:26 PM Kundaliniyoga Kundalini Yoga One in the Spirit CD (is it slang?) Sat Nam! Guest guest
" [G]ag like a yak " refers to the practice recommended by Yogiji that, upon waking, one should tickle the back of the throat with a tooth brush to make oneself gag so as to hack up poisons collected during the night on the " monkey glands " in the back of the throat. " Pride goeth before a fall, " is a quote from the Book of Proverbs (16:18) in the King James (Old English) version of the Christian Bible. " Goeth " is old English for " goes.
