Guest guest
Sat nam everyone, I have been a member of this group for a couple of years, but I've never posted before. I read something interesting the other day in the book " Sacred Sounds " by Ted Edwards and I wanted to ask you all what your opinion is on this. He was talking about the energy that is roused when we chant or sing or play instruments. I can't find the exact quote right now, but he says something like - once you generate this energy, you have to do something to ground it. You shouldn't just generate energy for the heck of it. I immediately thought about my personal yoga practice and the yoga classes that I teach. I love generating that energy and sitting there with it and feeling it. It's really the main reason I practice and teach. I think the way I ground that energy is by using it in my day, in my interactions with people and in everything that I do. I put it to use. Also, after yoga class we will say a blessing or a healing prayer for someone. I'm thinking these things also ground the energy. What are your thoughts on this? I appreciate anything anyone has to say. Hanspreet Kaur
