Namegiving in Dream

Sat nam,

 

just in the night from oct 31 to nov 1st, I had a clear or lucid dream.

I am actually only a beginner in KY and was astonished to find elements of KY in

the dream. If any of you feel drawn to make a comment for an interpretation,

please feel welcome!

 

In the dream I found myself in a happy atmosphere that was light golden. I came

kind of flying in and in front of me was sitting a woman with a turban, on a

pillow. She had a big smile on her face and all of the atmosphere was soked in

that golden light and - what I would call - " taste of laughter " . It was

delightful. Immediately I thought " I know that lady " but then I did not remember

from where. I am sure I have not met her in person in this life time. Anyways,

we greeted each other inwardly and understood each other perfectly by mere mind

connection. On Her left side (seen from my perspective, to Her right side) were

sitting in a row " pupils " or followers. I knew it was a spiritual community or

something of the kind. The special characteristics was that all these pupils

were male, while the teacher was this laughing, heartful woman in the middle.

 

She took me into her arms in an embrace that braught my forehead to her

heartchakra.

Through her heart entered a blissful energy into my head and whole body. I even

awake briefly from the dream to feel to my big surprise that, indeed, I was

having a physical feeling of a light, blissful energy that was filling

(particularly) my head.

 

I took it in like a blessing. Then the lady said " Give me energy. " First I was

startled because I thought " who´d be interested in my energy? " and for a second

I doubted. But somehow I understood that this was supposed to be an equal

exchange. And I found much relief and joy in the fact that " my energy was

welcome and even asked for " . So some energy began to form within me with total

ease. It was light pink (my favorite energy color) and it flew in big amounts

through my forehead into her heart.

 

Then, as if the " ceremony " was fulfilled, She said to me: " Karta Nam / or Kata

(Kanda) Nam "

In the dream I understood it as if this was to be my name from now on. And I

wondered, still in the dream, why the second part of the name would be " Nam " and

not " Sat " .

 

After she had pronounced my name, I flew off to the left side (right to Her).

 

Well, I´d be glad if someone could enlighten me on how I may understand the

" Karta/or Kanda Nam " and the meaning of the whole " ceremony " .

I am not so certain anymore about the first part, if it was Karta or Kanda. Yet

Nam for sure.

 

Also any hint at who the lady might be... When I first saw her in the dream I

even guessed she´d be half goddess, such as a Tara.

 

Strange, isn´t it, because I have never ever sought - as other people on the

forum - to get a name from the Sikh tradition. But that´s probably what

happened. Plus I´m a very bad practicioner, though well intentioned ))
