experiences with So Purkh cd by Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa

I chant with the cd because this is a long prayer. If I ever learn it,

I'll have the option of not using the cd. Eleven times, she starts at

a reasonable tempo, but my complaint is that by the end she's fired up

and I can't keep up or get all the pronunciations. But it still works!

Other people have said they chant it in English and it works, too, so

take your pick and make your own history.

 

Somewhere I read Yogi Bhajan saying that wives were complaining to

Guru Ram Dass about their husbands and this prayer was his way of helping.

 

There is a newer cd out by a different artist, but I think it is more

musical.
