Hypnotherpaists are trained to recognise the symptoms of psychosis and not try to treat such people because it risks triggering a 'psychotic episode'. It 'stirs their stuff up'. This may cause them harm & may get the therapist sued. Some highly experienced hyonotherapists do work with such people though and say the risk is very small. I am surprised similar warnings aren't given for K yoga. What should I do if a delusional psychotic wants to be my pupil? This is someone I would really like to help. Keith. Guest guest
Hi Keith, Yes they need help. Help more with the cause of the problem, they still need to face and go through. If they successfully go through the obstacle, they will become stronger. Body problem is relatively more objective but mind/mental problem is much subtle to dealt with. Very often, they have certain mindset tie them up cause problem to their body or make them want to commit suitside etc and they are totally not aware of this. With dedicated helpers arround, it is much more soothing until they come back to their own. If they feel better with KY, Great! but if not, KY may be not so suitable for them to cope with.
